We were on the Windsurf Jan 2023 for 18 days and it was one of the best cruises we have ever taken. We are on now, Oct 22 2023 to November 10, 2023. Venice to Rome
We are having a fabulous time. We love the Windsurf great food, fabulous crew. Wonderful experience
We booked 3 more trips on their early booking special. Highly recommended

We are sailing on the Wind Surf next March and I can't wait. Your review gave me great insight on what to expect and not to expect. And thanks about the tip on the restaurants. Happy sailing.

We have done a dozen or so Windstar trips on 4 of their 6 ships. The even smaller Wind Star and Wind Spirit are, in my opinion, even better than Wind Surf. (No elevators on those if you have mobility issues.) I can understand your red lights but we are so used to these things, I don't even consider them as negatives. Windstar crew members are always excellent and some will even remember you from prior voyages. It seems the crew tends to stick with them too. We often see repeat guests from prior years too. No more big ships for us. The sound of waves lapping against the sides and the gentle motion of the ship at night more than make up for no balcony.

Not the largest. Two ships like the one were commissioned. The Windsurf was originally Club Med 1. Club Med 2 built after is nearly identical, but a bit heavier, holds more passengers AND is a bit longer. In every metric Club Med 2 is is a bigger ship. I have a rare photo of the two dropping anchor in the same port, while I was on the Windsurf in the BVIs.

We love, love, love windstar. Our first was the wind star. The water tight doors did freak me out until i realized it was just going through the reef. The staff, the food, the experience is unmatched. Only negative is the Cadro 44. No one in our party liked it. Haven't bee. On the surf yet, going on it in February, but have never had internet issues.but only used it for posting travel pics. Next stop the star breeze in Alaska in July. They have ruined me for all other cruise lines.

Thanks for the review. Considering an Athens TO Venice cruise this summer. I know it will be hot. Worried about windows not opening. How well does the a/c in the cabins cool? I like to sleep in the cold! 🥶

We were on a Carribean cruise, it was warm but not the intense heat because it was winter. The cooling system worked well.

How difficult was it to get a reservation at night in the outside dinning rooms? Did the cabin windows open??

Hi..on our voyage and we sailing at approximately 50 percent capacity it was hard to get a dining g reservation. You need to make your reservations as soon as you get on the ship. They limit you to one reservation per voyage per restaurant, but it is worth it to go. As for the windows- they do not open.

You must really like to place your face front and center in your video... The fellow in the popular Tips For Travellers edited his videos to remove himself and the results were much better. You might consider doing the same.
