Got confused by Links misinterpretation too. The "clue" said nothing about picnic's or parties, only socializing. Which for the most is a bit of a stretch too!
Never seen any parties or picnic's at cemetaries, but lots of people/families go for walks around the garden. Not just to "visit" relatives.
My geuss would have been honesty shopping or frontseat in taxies. Maybe not the snobish bit, but othervice both are common in Denmark.

Link's pronunciation of mykonos was spot on, and Rhett might be talking about Santorini, because that's the most famous sunset. But guys, just a small portion of the Greek population lives in the islands. Most of us are in the mainland and we do have lovely mountains. Anywho, we are told to throw the tooth on the rooftop and when the birds take it, they will bring us back a strong new one, like another person commented about Korea. At least that's what my grandma used to tell us. Isn't that interesting?

Yes, Danish cemetaries are well-groomed, and almost all of them have benches. But they're not places for social gatherings. That's either a very local custom, or straight-up misinformation. We do have honesty shopping, though. It usually works, but a beekeeper was in the news last year after getting his jars stolen. Also, I think you're thinking of Germany when saying we have twisted fairytales. H. C. Andersen had a disturbing imagination at times, but that wasn't the bulk of his stories. That was really more the Grimms' folk tales.

The pointing with your lips is also a common thing in a lot of countries in Central America, I have lived in Honduras and they do it very often which made so much sense to me I couldn't believe nobody else did it

  • @BATOOST

Thanks Rhett, I will. Im Australian and I can tell you right now that I have had conversations with people about how it is WEIRD AF to sit in the front seat of a taxi or ride share. I think maybe it's a generational thing? Maybe people used to do it, but not any more. It's weird, dude. I thought our answer was honesty shopping 😂 I feel like that's way more common here, especially in rural areas.

I’m from Denmark, and I’ve NEVER seen or heard about people using cemeteries as a place for picnics or parties or whatever. I was 100% certain that honesty shopping was Denmark! I see that constantly, not just in the country side, in my experience you can find road side shops in bigger cities too! I’m absolutely stunned, what a misrepresentation 🤣 Maybe the cemetery thing happens somewhere in Denmark, but I’ve literally never heard about it or seen it! Wow… 😳

As an Aussie, I can confirm that we do not give a damn if you sit in the front or back. My generation usually opt for the back seat, cause we don't want to talk to anyone.
