I really love how open you are, Marina, about reconciling your professional life and family life🙂 Juggling between various tasks, especially as a self-employed mum of an infant/toddler, may be difficult. I am experiencing that every day ;) We are lucky enough to be living with my in-laws who are helpnig out a lot. And I also told myself: it is ok if you do not cook every day or bake cakes for every single occasion like a birthday party etc. Delegating things isn't that popular in Poland, especially among traditional families but being honest about your prorities is crucial. Let's not freak out because of what others think.

I lost $5000 after saving and working for almost 2years in a day and I can relate to saving without letting yourself have a good life.
I had plans to start taking care of myself and getting the vital things to step up like an apartment, an iPhone because now I'm still using my Android phone of over 5years, household equipments and growing my business but it's been hard since last year because I'm broke and find it hard to feed myself let alone my parents. I can't boast of $1 as mine right now because I'm working hard to clear my debt.
It's so painful and the fact that I have nothing to show from all those years of labor and now being in debt is hard.
You have one life to live, enjoy every moment and the experience that comes with it..

I can relate this whole video because I went through the same thing and turned out what society said can be very unhelpful a lot of the time. Delegating is great for businesses and college degree isn’t as important if you want to be an entrepreneur lol

Hi Marina, at 10:31...if you earn a $1000 USD per client in commission, you would need 100 clients to make $100,000 USD. I mean just a slip-up no worries, we get the idea. I like that you show places in California. I lived and worked in the Bay Area for 18 months a few years ago. If I could afford to live there I would definitely go back. These purchases mean you give up a lot of very easily earned money later on. That $2k outfit costs way more in opportunity cost.

I just collapsed. I do WANT MORE! More studio gear, a Proper MIDI Keyboard, a better microphone, an intelligently designed laptop or a desktop if all else fails (even the "brand new" ExpertBook I bought is too stubborn to handle its own system audio stream without any hanging issues thanks to the goddamn Intel Gen 11 architecture!), some 6-channel or so Mixer, A legit camera, a functional mobile phone... Yet I don't have any. Not only because I'm STILL a student because of our ye olde scope of education here in Sri Lanka where one should study till him/her die, but also our local economy proudly spoiled by a generation of political goons that keeping us poor forever!
The funny thing is that our local politicians have just started figuring out that Sri Lanka is now actually poor, in the middle of an infinite comfort inside their living rooms or offices.

That’s so true. I’m Romanian and always trying to get better deals than what is advertised in any store including private shoe stores or furniture store where you don’t deal with big corporations. However on flights never look at cheaper flights because they tend to have more stops and layovers and as a usual traveller to Europe I always do direct flights even if are more expensive.

The outsourcing thing is probably only looked down upon by Americans. I’m South African and so much is outsourced here. From nannies, housekeepers, ready made food (not fast food), gardening etc.

You forgot the most important thing that keeps people poor: being born into poverty. There is no class mobility in America. If you are born poor, you stay that way.
Nobody wants to hear this story. People love it to believe they could do it, if they only have the right mindset and that they're only a few steps away from great success.
