      IMO some underground rappers want to be mainstream rappers.

    • @seanstroman6087
      @seanstroman6087 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      manuel valerio name'em because other than Tech Ni9e who has the fanbase & merch I don't think anyone puts a focus on Making good songs they would rather make Dope Dark raps I.e MF Doom

    • @seanstroman6087
      @seanstroman6087 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brandon Standifer sorry that I trolled u but sometimes Us underground fans make it too easy I was only playing but oddisee brings up a point that has to tackled and maybe to me the underground tho there thriving in there own way the overall musicality can be better executive & maybe they wouldn't bitch about mainstream as much and this is coming from Oddisee a prominent figure within the underground circuit who doesn't like to be box to even that sort stance. I mean he pretty alluded to that in this discussion. Love MF DOOM Btw legend in the underground game let alone HIP HOP.

      +Sean Ulloa nah you see I totally agree with everything that you and Oddisee are saying. I was just trippin because IMO DOOM is much more that just a supreme lyricist. Dude really has his own unique sound and inspired a lot of artist today, Pro Era I think being the most notable

    I grew up on hip hop and didn't mind cussing til I had kids. Although the N word always bothered me cause I didn't like re rapping the word. Now I always prefer listening to a clean version with or without the wife and kids around.
    Hip hop was a young mans game but that's changing. Grown man music!!!!

    This is without a doubt the best interview dehh has done imo, the last 5 minutes where he was talking about his wife, and the way ken brought it all together left me speechless. And everything else he put light on, like how it's okay to embrace the digital age 100%, or about how swearing can becrease your audience, he said in such a way that made me be like "damn that's crazy". If yall will excuse me im gonna go listen to The Good Fight and Summertime '06 lol

    I grew up in rural Canada. Hip-hop has always been seen as a joke, something to grow out of. Odd is an artist who can answer that view frankly, without compromising. Drama in small moments. People who question who I am as a person, one of the answers they get will be "Contradiction's Maze". Thanks DEHH for a great interview, thanks Odd for being so real. Peace.
