We take Erol to boomerang XC for Melissa’s first ever time riding Erol! Melissa and Erol are getting ready for their first event together! This will be Erol’s first ever event season so we are super excited to see how he takes to it all!

Erol really showing his ability. Wow this guy is something. Melissa has such great hands and he has had his head throughout. He may develop a different shape front end as he rounds. Bravo so good to see.

Melissa was really good at riding him forward, giving him the confidence he needed. She also praised him a lot which kept him happy and willing. Fun video to watch!

Aww Erol is looking so grown up now. Melissa is lovely and gave him a great ride. He was funny spooking at the water but once he realised there were no sharks in there he was fine. Loved the vlog and you are looking great Ashley. Take care ❤🥰

Erol is so funny---what a personality! I laughed so hard I snorted when he did the deer jumps over the ditch: "Giant octopus wil reaches up and snatch me, I jumps too high for it, ha!" He is so generally willing but he just thinks about things too much!

Wow, Erol looked great! Melissa rode him extremely well (you don’t get to be a 4*, going on 5*, eventer if you’re NOT a good rider!), and Ash you must be so proud of him! All of the hard work you’ve done with him coming to fruition❤

Well done Ash! Errol was brilliant. It brought a tear to my eye, thinking about how proud you must feel. He's come such a long way already. Even how he stands at the trailer to be tacked up is an improvement on a few months ago. And well done for arranging such a talented rider to event him this season. I love seeing how much love, care and thoughtfulness you put into your horses.

I may have said this before but, Erol has such star quality, you will go far with him. He takes everything in his stride (well nearly everything!) and it's great to have another experienced rider getting him out and about until you can get back on.

Beautiful! And Melissa is a fantastic rider! Go jump water twice a week with experience horse in front of him (like master Zeb) and the water will be no problem after a while. Looking forward to the next video♥️🥰

Melissa is certainly brave... her coming into the step down into the water gave me so much anxiety through the screen haha. What a wonderful job she did being soft and letting him figure it out. Really excited to watch her continue to work with him!

Oh! I totally relate to you beeing jalous! Hated seeing my horses with my co-rider when I pregnant! 😅😅 But you always do what's best for the horse, don't you! Of course my co-rider was a lovely lady that I love and still trust a 100%!!! ❤❤ Errol looked amazing as usual and Melissa rode him very well !!!

It’s been awhile since I last commented tho have kept an eye out for “The Kid” as Pops loves to call him. Erol’s seems much calmer & confidant … until there was some water..
I about fell outta my chair from laughing at The Kid circling & circling & circling & circling around the water as he says to himself: “Nope.. Nope.. Nope..”
Until your assistant walked in the water to show Erol it was Ok Your assistant used the easiest & definitely ‘low stress” method to get a horse to enter, then be ‘ok’w/wate, by just getting in the water herself. Well done!
