This is the first I've heard of Theo's death. That's so fucking tragic. Øfdream introduced me into a whole new world of music. His tracks were, and remain to be, truly an experience. I'm so gutted to hear...
I know how he died from digging. It was self inflicted. I won't go into detail but that's all that needs to be said. Tragic loss.
I know right? I really felt something different from his creations. It moved me and I yearned for more from him. Absolutely terrible loss for a young and talented soul. May his legacy live on.

Прочитывая комментарии, я наблюдаю лишь англоговорящих пользователей и ни одного русскоговорящего фаната ofream... Не думаю, что я один такой, но не могу просто молча слушать его работы. Честно скажу, это лучший композитор за все мои годы, что я успел прослушать. Даже сейчас, когда этот текст пишу, то задумываюсь над тем, как Тео делал эту музыку. Скорее всего, это эмоции, которые он вкладывал в музыку. К сожалению, таких хороших музыкантов сейчас практически нет, либо я не знаю их. Но ofdream запомнился мне навсегда и больше всех.

I drove home from work and listened to ninth gate, thelema and first woe and thought „damn i cant wait to hear new releases by theo!“
So i finally arrived at home and instantly started to check if he has uploaded something new, but unfortunately there were no new updates. I have patience and thought ok take your time u will never dissapoint one of us fans.
Then i checked the ig story of noah b in which he just posted „rip øfdream“
Then i asked him if its real and noah said he couldnt believe it either..
......... I STARRED AT MY PHONE AND STARTED FUCKING CRYING MAN
LIKE WTH WHY?!!!
i was so depressed and wouldnt go out of my room and just isolated me from the world and listened only to his songs.. the whole day.

Ik what you mean, wish i could meet some people which listen to the same genre of music. Here in Germany i‘ve met only 1 person who listens to the same music as me. He lives about 50km from my town but we‘re still friends and we still hang out sometimes. As u said, people which listen to this kind of music are special.

Максим, я только сейчас узнал что его нет. Думаю чего-то его давно не слышно и вот. Много кто умирал и впервые я так сильно взгрустнул.

I know I am not alone in saying that Theo's music was so cathartic and next-level, that even to this day, whenever i feel my mind shift into darkness and I begin feeling lost, I just slip on my headphones & his music helps me find my way back .I am so grateful for his music, more than words could ever really show. I will listen to it everyday to celebrate how much beauty Theo created in his life and remind myself that we are never truly alone, we are all lost in the chaos together, trying to find our way home.

I don't know what happened to ofdream. I can only assume its mental health related. If that is the case, so sad. The depth and range of emotion that 'wave' music (I suppose authentic musical expression as a whole) generally deals with requires a sensitivity which i'd say places the level of vulnerability particularly high. The themes of light and dark are always present. The beautiful melodies contrasted against some of the more darker and abrasive elements i'd say are some of the hallmarks of the sound. I love the rays of the light in and amongst the darkness. Thanks for the light you shared. Hope you're in a better place now.

@@fagana01 Yes, they switched medicines for him during the summer. I forgot what he was struggling with. There is a reddit thread somewhere that you can look up and read more about.
@@roseforeuropa so, he took the new medicine u said weeks before he pass. He was really ill (mentally) and it was getting worse and worse and couldn't help him self with the illness, so I think that'd why he passed. All of these from reddit

:/ his music encapsulates the complexity and density of emotions he must have been experiencing... So dark, contemplative, and magnetic... I feel terrible. I wish someone could have helped him... 💔 I'll never be able to listen to his songs without feeling a pang of loss and desperation -- I desperately don't want anyone to have to battle their demons to any extent, but I guess he found the exit he sought. I truly hope he's happy wherever he is.
His choice of lyrics were a sign staring us right in the face the whole time.

I'm so sad. I've been listening to Øfdream for years. His music carried me through the lowest points in my life and now I can't seem to listen to any song by him without tears coming to my eyes. I wasn't able to meet him in this life but I'll be looking forward to meeting him when I'm in heaven. RIP Øfdream. A true wave Legend. Gone but never forgotten. 🙏🏼

just found this tonight after being such a long time fan of theos work... I remember when he died. I was shocked. Couldnt believe it.. I still dont know how as there isnt a lot of info on that but.. thanks for posting this from a longtime ofdream appreciator 2 years later.

@Kelven sei que já faz um mês, mas basicamente falaram que ele estava doente (mentalmente falando, provavelmente depressão) e ele tinha começado um tratamento semanas antes de morrer, e aparentemente ele morreu de overdose ou cometeu suicídio, os amigos próximos não falaram exatamente
@@cfilgueira infelizmente cometeu suicídio, provavelmente pelos problemas de depressão em estágio muito avançado.
O cara era um gênio, original em um estilo que é muito difícil de destacar, a música dele é uma coisa a parte, bonito, profundo, muito foda...
@@chrismiller1700 Sim, mano. Eu acompanhava ele desde 2017 e o Théo (Ofdream) era realmente diferenciado. Todas as músicas são únicas com uma vibe que realmente toca na alma, parece que cada drop, cada segundo de música foi pensado por ele. Eu já falei muitas vezes e repito, o Øfdream sempre será o rei desse estilo (wave music/witch house).

Music can be a powerfull and supporting force in our lives and definetly is still in mine and Ofdream made some really important sounds for me. The first track i heard that reached me was great beast on nightmares and 808s channel, when i was only listening to mainly 'dark' or 'very moody' music, so for me his mixture of sounds was like a crOosover from one genre to another, or one feeling to another, from witch house to WAVE. Thank you Ofdream
Théo Indeed refined my music taste and he was the one responsible for getting me into the wave scene 5 years ago. I really loved his live streams and the possibility for us to keep up with his music production. I feel that he was a special kind of guy. It's still hard to get over the fact that he's no longer with us even more considering the reasons of his death.
He did impact the world in a positive way in a short amount of time.
