- Alawa and Nikai are captive gray wolves living at the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC), a 501c3 non-profit organization, in South Salem, NY. They are two of the three 'ambassador wolves' at the WCC that help teach the public about wolves and their vital role in the environment.

I am so drawn to these beautiful animals. I wish they weren't so misunderstood. I always try to educate people whenever I can about wolves because there are so many misconceptions out there.
I agree with you 100%. fairytales made wolves look like villains, and i know for a fact that if a wolf was given a choice between attacking a human and running away, they would rather run away. Wolves are beautiful and misunderstood, and i wish they weren't so misunderstood. Although there have been attacks, those are most likely either a misunderstanding or the fault of rabies. In reality, wolves really aren't too bad. I love wolves a lot and i am so drawn to them and their beauty.

As cute as they may look it's so fascinating all these howls echo and sound as if there's tons of wolves nearby. Imagine walking through the woods at night and hear this! I'd be so scared!

I love to sit in front of the fireplace and hear the wolves call. When they come into the barn yard at 2am their fun to watch. If our 2 million deer herd ever collapses they will turn to the cattle. Then they will have to be exterminated and the Game Warden will become an endangered species Michigan 🚜
