Over my lifetime I've had at least a dozen 45 and the one I like the best was the first one I got Colt Combat Commander I really enjoyed having that gun and I carried it for many years everybody wants a good gun get a 45 you will never regret it never❤
I had a 45 LW commander Colt sold it. Best carry just kicked too much to shoot much !! Now older gone to 9 mm, Bul, SIG & Citadel . All good & easy & cheaper to load !!
I was able to pick up a Duty Size (5" barrel) stainless steel 45 ACR with rail on sale for $400. The pistol is by Tisas and came in a black lockable plastic case with 2 magazines. I only have 60+ rounds thru the gun and, so far, No issues. 😊
Some R. I. are great, the Bul , made in Israel are very good too ! 1911 has been my favorite for more then 60+ yrs. Owned many & built 6 from parts! All legal from frames & parts bought on line or gun shows. School, MTU , US Mil.
Pretty sure the DW Vigil was discontinued, but maybe they brought it back. Dan Wesson is easily the most "bang for your buck" in 1911's. The real answer though is to go with 38 Super or 357 Sig.
Springfield Garrison or Ronin is a solid, well-made 1911. They have enough goodies and maybe just need a trigger job to finish the job. If we are going to say custom to mean really custom, then Les Baer, Nighthawk, Wilson, and Ed Brown are the tops in custom grade but still made by several gunsmiths per factory specs. Let's be real. $2,400 is pricey, but how much is a set of custom rims and large mud terrain truck tires? Easily over $2,000. So defer new tires, stop doing donuts that burn off rubber that turns your $475 tires into 12,000 mile life spans, and use that money for a really nice 1911.
Or, if you're the kind of guy who's into custom rims, mud terrain truck tires, and doing burnouts, you could also defer funds from beer, cigarettes, lottery tickets, methamphetamines, and weed toward a really nice 1911 and keep your mud boggin' rig done up right.
@@Hammadsandco I never had any problems it. I would still have it but I had some legal problems years ago and had to sell it because I needed the money.
On this list i agree with one only, the DW is great, but i have owned more than one of the others and in no way shape or form should the taurus or the production ruger be on this list, both where sub par for me and all of the colts and kimbers have been plain average. The Springfield armory trp combat operator is better than every pistol you listed and a match for the Dan Wesson, in fact i would bet on the SA tightest groups as beating the DW. Prove me wrong.
Colt of today is not your father's Colt. There's a reason they went bankrupt and was bought by CZ May of 2021, they were putting out crap. I would wait another year or two before buying a Colt until CZ gets them back on track.
They completely forgot the SA Custom Pro, the same pistol used by thr FBI HRT. It has impeccable credentials for accuracy and dependability. A seriously focused pistol built to eliminate threats and bring you home.
I have a couple of 45's a 10 mm and a couple of 9 mm's . My full size 9 is a sweet shooting gun and just fun. I like my larger calibers as well, but enjoy shooting the 9 more.
😂 Yeah, if I was a millionaire I'd agree. I own a full size 45 ACP 1911 and it's my favorite range toy. But when I'm getting ready to EDC, I want to be able to shoot my carry gun as much as possible so it becomes second nature. Since 45 ACP ammo currently costs me OVER twice as much as 9MM, getting a 9MM was a no brainer. Slightly lower weight from a commander, 2 extra rounds, yeah that's a winner to me.
I own 3 all GI models a 45,9mm and 38 super only problem with some but not all magazines the ones with full followers do not have issues my 9mm and 38 super I got used for 299 they all shoot great PS tisas are good too I own a tanker 45 good luck hope you find a deal like I did
Dan Wesson Vigil CCO and 10mm Razorback.. best pistols I have owned...

SA 1911 Mil Spec. Flawless

I have no need for a 9mm 1911. I have two different 1911's in 45 ACP, and that's enough.
Glad ammo cost isn't a factor for you, but it is for some of us.
God's caliber.
Springfield TRP Operator!!!
I used to have a Kimber Custom Gold match 2 1911 45 ACP loved it
But many people said kimber have very jam problem's

@@Hammadsandco yeah I'd skip Kimber for sure
@@elihollingsworth6852 I have my first Kimber, a KDS9c, and it shoots without a hiccup.
I’d like to see your top 7 10mm 1911’s
sorry two of the best 1911s for the money are rock island and tisas I own both
Yes True

Half the shots aren’t even about the Gun they’re talking about. Not sure how that really helps consumers much

Is that all people shoot now is 9mm
Nothing from Springfield you have to be kidding.

When you grow up, just get a .45 acp
I would not argue with that sentiment.
Like why would you want a 1911 in 9mm 😂😂😂
