Beautiful hike, beautiful dog, beautiful video! Is this provincial park located in the Coast Mountains? How about bears? We also do hikes with our wonderful Hungarian Kuvasz in Ontario and Quebec. Which will be a quintessential Coast Mountains provincial park to visit for a family of 5 with a 6 year old and a 110 pound dog? Come to think of it, why don't we have a national park in the Coast Mountains? We do have 5 of them in the Rocky Mountains (Banff, Jasper, Kootenay, Yoho, and Waterton Lakes) and 2 in Columbia Mountains (Glacier and Mount Revelstoke).
Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed the video! This hike is located near Smithers in Babine Mountains Provincial Park. It's a beautiful area with a ton of great hikes, it's pretty close to the coast mountains but I'm not sure it counts as being in the coast mountains. There are a ton of bears here! Mostly black but we've seen a few grizzlies. That's awesome! We haven't had a chance to do any hiking in Ontario and Quebec but we would like to! Morice lake provincial park is very pretty, but not that developed so there's not much to do. Babine Mountains Provincial Park is wonderful, lot's to do with kids and dogs. We've made a video on a few of the hikes, and on Driftwood Canyon, which is an area in the park where you can find fossils. The trails are well developed and there is a beautiful overnight cabin on a trail called Silver King Basin. It's a very nice hike on an old road, you can also bike and ride a horse on it. The hike finishes at the cabin but you can go further around the back of the cabin to see some old mining equipment or even go up a pass to connect to other hikes. Yes it's too bad, the coast mountains are so beautiful! Thanks for watching! Have a great day!
This looks like an amazing hike! I'd love to come to Canada to do some of these trails. Your dog is amazing! He can hike his tail off hahahaha! My dog is too lazy to take hiking, except close by my house. I have her in a few videos of mine, but most of the time I'm carrying her or she's chasing rabbits! lol!
