Gladiator was Joaquin Phoenix's 1st movie I watched as a kid, but when I saw him in da movie Joker, he earned my absolutely respect. In fact, everyone talks about his Joker's role, but very few people know about his performance in PTA's The Master, which is a truly masterpiece.

the first time i noticed Joaquin as an actor was in ‘Signs’ - he stole that movie! I can recommend Lynn Ramsey’s “You Were Never Really There” for his performance, and he’s just incredible in The Master.
Daniel Day Lewis is the best actor in many decades but Joaquin’s acting in the Joker is the best in one movie I have ever seen . Obviously these opinions are just mine and there are hundreds or thousands of extremely talented actors . Cheers to the arts.
