I brought a mini myself back in July. I really love the camera even though it's not 4k. I just had to learn to respect the wind when flying it. I almost lost it once.

Drone Worship you are right. 2020 has turned things upside down. It’s taking a lot just to stay focused. Have lost 2 family members and friends. It has been a challenge. Some say the virus is not real, one thing I do know, people are passing. 🙏
Been flying my Mini for two weeks now. My first DJI. I said I would never buy DJI buy I am already bug'in the shit out Mama to let me get the Mavic Air 2. Bout got her worn down now. Love this little Mini, flies like a champ.
Awesome choice! I just started making videos with my mini and I love it. I am glad you bought the fly more pack, because those extra batteries are really useful, especially when you fly with the prop guards because the drone gets heavier and it drains the battery faster

I’ll say this, I was skeptical of the Mavic air 2 And when I got it I completely changed my mind. I sold my Mavic mini it was a great drone but It didn’t do very well in High winds. I was constantly receiving Highwind warnings.I think the Mavic line has something for everybody. The Mavic air 2 is the way to go.

Wow ... a year & a half since your last video. Wonder if you ever flew the Mini? What I really want to know is if either of those two cameras are truly 'gimbal-less' ... since I got rid of the gimbal on my X380 (I burn it up, along with the Git 2 camera & the telemetry module when I plugged something in wrong at 4:30am). I wonder how many of the 13.2K subscribers are still waiting for a video .... like me ???

ha ha ha !! You are going to love it! I did buy a little hard case for mine and it holds everything now. I found the case it came with just needed to be a tad larger. I got the same combo as you did late last fall. Yes it is small and light but it is powerful. In high wind, you have to keep it close to the ground and behind trees because it does struggle a bit but it does pretty good overall. The video quality is amazing. I also have the first of the mavics like you do. I guarantee this little mini is going to be your baby before long ha ha !! Happy Flying

Great video. I really enjoyed your narration. You sounded like you really enjoyed making this video. I personally like the GoPro it's just so simple to use and small. I'm just starting out with my channel and I thought that DSLR's would be the best way to shoot video, but .. big but.. when shooting footage of moving objects the auto focus is a pain to master. I also find that strapping a camera to a car for POV is much more practical with a gopro. As for Drones .. They are a bit complicated to work on or repair and the 2 I have are both broken so I kind of got discouraged. I really like the DJI Mini it looks like it might be a real good product. Cant wait to see it fly. 👍
I’m interested in hearing your review and thoughts on the Magic Mini. I have a Phantom 3, but can’t really fly it often. I live in the Wash DC area where there are three major airports and I am also near Joint Andrews Air Force Base. A lot of regulation here!

Oh and I forgot bought eachine e 129 heli for 50 bucks helicopter easy to fly.came with four batteries from banggood lots of fun something different check it out lots of people put vids out on you tube not me yet but maybe soon.plug in battery pretty neat.easy to fly and cheap.

On top of that, my TH-cam account is screwed up again. Between the bad weather & BAD LUCK I've been having in the past month or so, I had to take a break from TH-cam! Looking forward to the review. It was my 1st choice until the Air 2 came out. Couldn’t justify the cost of the Mavic 2 Pro. Both the mini and Air 2 checked all the boxes.

A birthday present to yourself. Well, I have a problem throwing more money at the "800 lb. Gorilla" of drones (DJI), considering the hassle you have to go thru just to get the damn thing up in the air every time (not to mention my personal feelings towards China, which unleashed a virus onto the rest of the Planet, wreaking havoc in 188 countries). Most reviews I've seen of it say its pretty good, but not a good windy weather flyer, so beware of that. "Home Projects" .. I hear you. I just had a new Trane Central AC installed yesterday, after my 21 year old Lennox died on me a couple weeks ago .. never know how much you miss AC until you don't have it! It will be interesting to see the Syma bird, but, they aren't serious if they are still using brushed motors. Even the cheap-noname clones have brushless motors in them .. and they probably cost less than this Syma. Oh well. Going to go check out your community, to see if I missed anything. Cheers!
To my surprise, I started the motors last night and didn't get my usual "no fly zone" warnings or restrictions. It also had the latest firmware loaded already... seems to good to be true!! We shall see how it goes at the field. Thanks for watching bro!!!
Bill - although I personally don’t trust the Chinese government but a Pandemic could have started in any country and how badly it affects the population is due to the government in power in that country’s response. Trump downplayed it since the beginning. So did others and where I live the government could have done better as well. In drones can’t fault DJI as they are the drone industry leader for good reason, their products work and keep getting better leading the market. Autel’s patent claims are somewhat shady as well. They bought the patent from another company and didn’t develop it themselves either.
@@kenrybchuk4309 "Could have started in any country" ... but it didn't; it started in China, and with the help of the W.H.O. who China bought thru bribes and pressure, covered up the pandemic for MONTHS. As for President Trump, he STOPPED flights from China only a couple days after it was discovered that it started in Woohan. (and then he stopped flights into the US from heavily affected European countries). Per capita, the US has one of the best Covid 19 responses/records in the World .. and it would likely be better, had thousands of "Social Justice Warriors" not gathered en-masse to march, loot & burn various cities. You can also lay the blame at the feet of Governors like Andrew Cuomo (D) NY, who, despite warnings from the CDC, put Covid patients back into Senior Living centers. 80% of the Covid deaths in the US are Seniors (over 65 yrs. old - avg. age 78). You need to get real FACTS before making statements which show you to be an uninformed partisan. As for DJI, I wouldn't trust their invasive software/firmware as far as I can spit. Fortunately, my old P3A can be flown with Litchi software, so I don't have to worry about my personal data being uploaded to Chinese servers. YMMV

Use your head and don’t listen to propaganda from Trump whose own niece thinks he should resign. Don’t ever belong to either on party or another and pay attention to what actual candidates say and do. DJI spying on everyone is ridiculous. If they want video of parks and trees they are welcome. Most everything is already on TH-cam or quick internet search. I’m not trying to start an online argument against Trump supporters or those against him. Just the truth. DJI is the industry leader for good reason. It’s the consumers choice to buy or not. Autel, Skydio, are also very good. But using this platform as a soapbox is wrong. DJ Soulforce is a great guy and I shouldn’t have responded to your first message and let myself get drawn into this. We agree about distrust of the Chinese government, however the US is not doing well at all with Corona, and to exclude DJI products because of “spying” on people through their drones is a bit over the top.

I’ll say this, I was skeptical of the Mavic air 2 And when I got it I completely changed my mind. I sold my Mavic mini it was a great drone but It didn’t do very well in High winds. I was constantly receiving Highwind warnings.I think the Mavic line has something for everybody. The Mavic air 2 is the way to go.

Wow ... a year & a half since your last video. Wonder if you ever flew the Mini? What I really want to know is if either of those two cameras are truly 'gimbal-less' ... since I got rid of the gimbal on my X380 (I burn it up, along with the Git 2 camera & the telemetry module when I plugged something in wrong at 4:30am). I wonder how many of the 13.2K subscribers are still waiting for a video .... like me ???

ha ha ha !! You are going to love it! I did buy a little hard case for mine and it holds everything now. I found the case it came with just needed to be a tad larger. I got the same combo as you did late last fall. Yes it is small and light but it is powerful. In high wind, you have to keep it close to the ground and behind trees because it does struggle a bit but it does pretty good overall. The video quality is amazing. I also have the first of the mavics like you do. I guarantee this little mini is going to be your baby before long ha ha !! Happy Flying

Great video. I really enjoyed your narration. You sounded like you really enjoyed making this video. I personally like the GoPro it's just so simple to use and small. I'm just starting out with my channel and I thought that DSLR's would be the best way to shoot video, but .. big but.. when shooting footage of moving objects the auto focus is a pain to master. I also find that strapping a camera to a car for POV is much more practical with a gopro. As for Drones .. They are a bit complicated to work on or repair and the 2 I have are both broken so I kind of got discouraged. I really like the DJI Mini it looks like it might be a real good product. Cant wait to see it fly. 👍

Looking forward to the review. It was my 1st choice until the Air 2 came out. Couldn’t justify the cost of the Mavic 2 Pro. Both the mini and Air 2 checked all the boxes.

A birthday present to yourself. Well, I have a problem throwing more money at the "800 lb. Gorilla" of drones (DJI), considering the hassle you have to go thru just to get the damn thing up in the air every time (not to mention my personal feelings towards China, which unleashed a virus onto the rest of the Planet, wreaking havoc in 188 countries). Most reviews I've seen of it say its pretty good, but not a good windy weather flyer, so beware of that. "Home Projects" .. I hear you. I just had a new Trane Central AC installed yesterday, after my 21 year old Lennox died on me a couple weeks ago .. never know how much you miss AC until you don't have it! It will be interesting to see the Syma bird, but, they aren't serious if they are still using brushed motors. Even the cheap-noname clones have brushless motors in them .. and they probably cost less than this Syma. Oh well. Going to go check out your community, to see if I missed anything. Cheers!
To my surprise, I started the motors last night and didn't get my usual "no fly zone" warnings or restrictions. It also had the latest firmware loaded already... seems to good to be true!! We shall see how it goes at the field. Thanks for watching bro!!!
Bill - although I personally don’t trust the Chinese government but a Pandemic could have started in any country and how badly it affects the population is due to the government in power in that country’s response. Trump downplayed it since the beginning. So did others and where I live the government could have done better as well. In drones can’t fault DJI as they are the drone industry leader for good reason, their products work and keep getting better leading the market. Autel’s patent claims are somewhat shady as well. They bought the patent from another company and didn’t develop it themselves either.
@@kenrybchuk4309 "Could have started in any country" ... but it didn't; it started in China, and with the help of the W.H.O. who China bought thru bribes and pressure, covered up the pandemic for MONTHS. As for President Trump, he STOPPED flights from China only a couple days after it was discovered that it started in Woohan. (and then he stopped flights into the US from heavily affected European countries). Per capita, the US has one of the best Covid 19 responses/records in the World .. and it would likely be better, had thousands of "Social Justice Warriors" not gathered en-masse to march, loot & burn various cities. You can also lay the blame at the feet of Governors like Andrew Cuomo (D) NY, who, despite warnings from the CDC, put Covid patients back into Senior Living centers. 80% of the Covid deaths in the US are Seniors (over 65 yrs. old - avg. age 78). You need to get real FACTS before making statements which show you to be an uninformed partisan. As for DJI, I wouldn't trust their invasive software/firmware as far as I can spit. Fortunately, my old P3A can be flown with Litchi software, so I don't have to worry about my personal data being uploaded to Chinese servers. YMMV

Use your head and don’t listen to propaganda from Trump whose own niece thinks he should resign. Don’t ever belong to either on party or another and pay attention to what actual candidates say and do. DJI spying on everyone is ridiculous. If they want video of parks and trees they are welcome. Most everything is already on TH-cam or quick internet search. I’m not trying to start an online argument against Trump supporters or those against him. Just the truth. DJI is the industry leader for good reason. It’s the consumers choice to buy or not. Autel, Skydio, are also very good. But using this platform as a soapbox is wrong. DJ Soulforce is a great guy and I shouldn’t have responded to your first message and let myself get drawn into this. We agree about distrust of the Chinese government, however the US is not doing well at all with Corona, and to exclude DJI products because of “spying” on people through their drones is a bit over the top.
