I agree , no matter what I like to stay away from eBay if I can. A lot of crooks out there but not everyone, someone always wants to pull a fast one on you !
The blade shape along the spines seem different. The spine plunges into the swedge more steeply on yours than on your friend's. It could be the coated blade that makes it look different.
That’s what I was thinking too, after watching it back in the camera there is small differences for sure ! Thanks for pointing those out to me ! I wonder if the steel is actually s30v or just some strange unknown stuff that was coated to keep it from rusting and they slapped a s30v logo on it ?
I think your right it probably not s30v probably some cheap steel

@@CarryAndCut compare the blade geometry along the spine with your 945. It seems to plunge steeper, too. And that color of the scales seems way off.
@@michaelhislop4840 good point there, I didn’t even recognize the steeper plunge good eye, It pretty convinced it’s definitely a clone for sure !
