I'm not sure why im watching this at 5am... But a little FYI, this is a hard-core skill based game. The only rigging is in the prizes. I've dumped atleast $100 into this game and have never gotten a prize from it. There isn't anywhere for the little capsuls to dispense, and the top prizes never drop. I've won the top prize twice, and nothing happened. (Two Nintendo DS) Walmart will just tell you "We don't have anything to do with the arcade machines, you'll have to call the company that owns the machine" And of course, they wont tell you the company that owns the machine, ever....

I think the capsules in the payout mechanism have seized up. This is a purely mechanical issue, and thats why the payout screen shows for so long. What happens, is that sometimes (very rare), 2 capsules might try to enter the chute at the same time. The payout actuator then tries to push the capsules but it don't work because the mechanism is jammed. It tries several times because the machine senses that theres no price coming, which is why the payout screen shows for so long, but eventually, the machine must give up and declare victory to the jammed mechanism. Basically, the problem is mechanically unsolvable, as its not possible to create a mechanism that dispenses spherical objects reliable. The mechanical solution to the problem is to use capsules that are formed more like a hockey puck or snuff box, and then use a hopper that works like a coinchanger payout mechanism but with "extremely large coins" (snuff box / hockey puck size). These mechanisms are very reliable and rarey seize up. This can also happen in a mechanical gum/capsule ball vending machine, that uses a similiar mechanism, but on the other side, the difference is that in the mechanical variant, you can move the handle back and forth a bit to clear the jam.
You can obviously see how the machine works... The spinning of the wheel has more friction before the low miles and very low friction before and over the big mile amounts... So most of the times the wheel lands on a small number
i think its the opposite of that. there is more friction over the low miles to make land on them, and less friction on high miles to easily glide over them
It could also be weighted, which is why I think the guy was saying to try spinning it slow, to lower the impact that any anti-winning schemes take place, such as weights and/or friction.
The problem is with unattended arcades. Which are about all that's left these days. At a real arcade, there would be an attendant to help you. At least you are doing your thing making videos. But I feel bad for the kids that only have 1 dollar and the game doesn't start for them.

This is a nice video. The walmart machine advertised little artificial diamond rings and I wanted to get a 5 year old girl one. I tried a few times and tried a few weeks later and got the same boring silver ring that looks like a wedding band. I tried a similar machine in the foyer at the Golden Carol and got junk their too. I realized these games are not intended for you to get anything good because that would cost them more but for you to lose so they can make more money because they're greedy. The people who make and own these these games are not ethical and don't care. They advertise a nice looking little gift but all you get is worthless junk. When I was young in the 60s you got some nice little rings and trinkets.

at the bowling alley I kept all my tickets then one time I hit jackpot and me my grandpa and an employee sat the atleast five minutes stretch the tickets across the arcade AND THEN THEY GOT RID OF THE TICKET STORE SO I HAD TO THROW THEM ALL AWAY

This is a nice video. The walmart machine advertised little artificial diamond rings and I wanted to get a 5 year old girl one. I tried a few times and tried a few weeks later and got the same boring silver ring that looks like a wedding band. I tried a similar machine in the foyer at the Golden Carol and got junk their too. I realized these games are not intended for you to get anything good because that would cost them more but for you to lose so they can make more money because they're greedy. The people who make and own these these games are not ethical and don't care. They advertise a nice looking little gift but all you get is worthless junk. When I was young in the 60s you got some nice little rings and trinkets.
Spends $5 to get a 5¢ prize, cries when it won't come out of machine.

It honestly looked like that wheel was controlled by a computer motor or something in the back. Looked weird to where it would speed up a little again when it slowed down so you got low numbers.
I played Road Trip and won a medium prize and it didn't give me it. That royally stunk on ice.

Something similar happened to me
The claw was perfectly on the toy tank but the claw didn't clasp until it was above the dang tank.
