2005 GT 4.6. Anyone know what that metal filament sleave is, in the stock cold air intake? Its just after the mass airflow sensor. I NEED to know!! Why the factory(Ford) put this in there. its function/purpose? Help appreciated. Thank you!
Yes I pulled mine off. All you do is pull it off like a piece of tape and then remove the adhesive on the cars bumper and on the spoiler itself clean with alcohol apply adhesion promoter and then put some new 3M tape on the spoiler and you’re ready to go
The 07-09 California Special already comes with a chin spoiler that is similar to this. If you get this one painted body colour and you plastic dip the center section black it gives a look similar to the California Special but the CS one is better.
My car was purchased with this ugly thing on it. So what about taking it off??? How do you do that without damaging the paint from the double sided tape stuff??

Can this be reapplied if it's been taken off or is the tape not sticky anymore?
