The best high school marching band in the entire world! No one else comes close. After a few months of polish, this year's band plays exceptionally well. Nice video work under very difficult conditions, Brass! The sound pickup is wonderful. It lights up my iMac speakers!!!
Wonderful job once again "I Love Brass." Great closeups of member we don't often see up close. Love those smiles! I counted 14 trumpet players...Love those kinds of numbers. Thank you once again for posting a video of Kyoto Tachibana! They are not going to the Nationals to compete and they are probably disappointed with that but they have no reason to be sad. In the hearts and mines of many, many, many people- they are in a championship league of their own. The most unique and most entertaining Band in existence. In Japan or anywhere else in the World. In competition, marching in a parade or playing a concert they are the BEST. If Bands were judged solely on audience effect and entertainment value, they would always be at or near the TOP of the competition because no one else does what they do or do it so well. GO TACHIBANA!!!!!!!!!
Hi just me watching her band again love each and every one guys too but you know going to lean towards the girls mostly but you're very sweet they always got a smile on their face they have nothing but heart they work their hineys off and it shows when they're marching in the street or in the stadiums their number one take care of the girls in the guys and you know most of all be safe out there we love you

@Roberto Monte Cagnacci Kyoto Tachibana participates in the All Japan Band Association Marching Competition where the main criteria is precision marching & musical proficiency. They cleared the preliminary qualification round in Kyoto but failed to qualify for the National Finals at the second qualification round in Kansai.
I have big interest in marching bands because my own university has one of the best in my country. But when I saw KT green marching band last year, my university's band were like amateurs compared to them. hahahaha

My niece’s high school marching band is considered one of the best, if not the very best in the state, the pride of our town, won numerous and countless awards/sweepstakes, marched in the Rose Parade, etc. and I’m so proud of them...and we, especially the parents think and some of us (in our delusions) even believe that our high school marching band is the best high school marching band in the world. But if I were to compare them to Tachibana and if I’m honest with myself they’re nowhere near Tachibana’s level.
You are right. But in Japan, they have not won the contest. why? Because they are a special team compared with other teams. But they are loved by people in the world. The reason why they can not win in the contest is because it is not the style of marching bands ever. I hope that someday a lot of marching style bands of Kyoto Tachibana will come out. PS. There is a performance of Kyoto Tachibana in Tokyo at tomorrow. Maybe, I think that many videos will be posted in a few days.
I see there is a replacement for TIppi. I wish her well as she has some big shoes to fill! I always feel great after watching them. I wish I could adopt some of them!
Anyone who thinks that a first year student can step right in and do the dance numbers with the band, much less play the music, doesn't understand how difficult it is to be a band member in the band! My guess is that the new xylophone player is a first year student who has finally learned the music and dance, and can now step in and perform. Agreed, it is nice to hear the xylophone again in their numbers.
@@demef758 There was no Xylophone in there- there was only a Glockenspiel player, and she's a 2nd grader. A lot of times, it was Penguin playing the Glock last year. ..Joe

I think the very best he can do for KT is not to change too much. Why change the BEST that there is and spoil it? It ain't broken, so fine tune it but don't try to make wholesale changes or try to fix it. So far so good.

They are either new or reconditioned drums with new colors. But I think the snare drums need to be tightened up a bit. They need more snap in the snare. As for the flag girls, maybe they deliberately flunk so that they can keep performing for KT year after year. :o)
Perhaps it's this one that i name "azunyan" because she's like the seiyū of Azusa (Azunyan, nyan like a cat sound) Ayana Taketatsu, character of the anime k-on ah ah ! i think it's her third year
The ones carrying the first banner are 2nd years, they joined in 2017. The ones at the back I think are freshmen who joined this year. Note the similarities in hairstyles between the junior and senior pairs, thought it was amusing.

He's a bit of an anomaly- early on he was percussion, then pretty much for the rest 2018 he marched behind the band, not playing, and now this year for the Toray Arrows vid he was playing French Horn. We haven't really gotten the story on him yet. ..Joe

My guess: a first year student is finally trained enough to be able to keep up with the band. It can't be easy to just step into the band without intensive training. How they do it, I don't know!

And if you have watched some of the TV shows about them, you would have seen many instances of the drums pretty much falling apart, and the Sousaphones cracked and broken (they're made of fiberglass) and the holes repaired with white duct tape. That's why there's the new silver Sousaphones. ..Joe

海外んは橘の様なマーチングは無いですからね。
但し残念あのは相変わらずですよ、移動しながらの撮影が多すぎる事と然も皆おじさんばかり。

メフテルを祖とすると言われるマーチングバンドの本来の目的は志気の鼓舞、戦意高揚、これほど志気を鼓舞(一般生活で)してくれるマーチングバンドはそうはない。海上自衛隊中央音楽隊の「行進曲軍艦」も顔負け。
年初めに偶然ローズパレードをyoutube観てからどつぷりはまってます。しんどい時はいつも映像も見て元気貰ってます。ありがとう！

いつも素敵な動画UPありがとうございます！寺町通のパレードは橘高校の皆さんの演奏はもちろん、沿道の皆さんのリアクションを見るのも楽しみの一つなんです。特に場所柄外国人観光客も多く、恐らくこんなに激しく踊りながらハイクオリティーな演奏をしている高校生のを見るのは初めてで、演奏を見た皆さんが驚いたりすごく楽しそうにしている様子が、こちらも見てて幸せな気持ちになります。年々外国語のコメントも増えてますし、国籍関係なく、見た人みんなを幸せに出来る能力って凄いと思います^ ^

江南スタイルではブレイク後にホーン隊がタイミングピッタリで自信タップリに音を出す瞬間に強豪校の凄味を感じますね。彼等はステップが特徴的ですが、それをやるが故の妙技に思います。膨大な練習に裏打ちされた素晴らしい音色に感動します！

he might have slight injury so just following not playing... that's the way it went earlier too. anyway they also want to participate in that way.
