I came back to rewatch this because I played this game one year ago. I can’t believe how much I ended up loving the characters, the setting and overall, the game. This scene was so emotional to me, so impactful I couldn’t stop crying. Because of it, I can’t listen to this song anymore because it makes me want to cry lol
While every game in this series has changed writers, developers and even voice actors, its cool that Square Enix really stayed hands-on as a publisher to make sure the cinematic tone and theme stayed the same, and even evolved.
