Hey folks, James here. As ever, thanks for watching, and please do subscribe if you liked the video. Just a couple of notes on this one, the book The Vengeful Djinn was written by Rosemary Guiley and Philip Imbrogno. El-Zein’s quote from the Quran 37: 7-8, which she states is the only reference to marid: "We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars and to preserve against every [rebel satan (Shaytan marid)]; they listen not to the High Council for they are pelted from every side." And the king of the demons mentioned at the end is named as Asmodeus or Ashmedai.
Thanks! Yeah, will do them all eventually. I don't want to do all the arabic/islamic ones in a row so will alternate a little. But yeah I think we have written up those already and also the Qarinah and some others. I might also do some retelling from Arabian Nights, though I need to modernize it as it is quite clunky prose.
Love your vids, can you do videos on folktales on Hispanic follore? Latin America, like icleand has a large history of witchcraft, id love to hear you talk about them. More specifically the Nahual, which similarly to skinwalkers can shape shift. They have connections to witchcraft and the devil. Would love to hear stories like this from latin, south America, and Spain. Can't wait to see your future topics!
Hey John, thanks! Glad you like them. Yeah, we will for sure. I have added that to topics to research. I think we have a few already done (on the website) from Latin America, but not on video yet.

Another great post! Are you going to post a video about the Ifrit or the Shayatin since you have posts about the Si'lah and Ghoul
