I see you like doing experiments. Do you have any idea to make a handheld radio, to make it a stationary radio? Let's say you put the BF888s in the case of an old computer cd player. i know it may be stupid, but i find the idea interesting. :) Or maybe do something like that with uv5r. But that would already be more complicated than with the 888s
@@knoxieman Super. I was thinking of doing it with the BF 888s because it’s the easiest. I would put a switch in front and maybe a volt meter to still light something: D The knob for sound and channels is easy to pass through the plastic in front. Battery eliminator, and hand mic / ptt is cheap ... for example put this in the front in the left and right corner ... on off switch www.ebay.com/itm/1x-12V-On-Off-Large-Rectangle-Rocker-Switch-Lighted-Car-Dash-Boat-3-Pin-SPST/254526206966?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 maybe Mini Digital Voltmeter or something else? www.ebay.com/itm/0-28-Inch-2-5V-30V-Mini-Digital-Voltmeter-Voltage-Testers-4-Meter-Colors-X5H1/114366297919?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=414601729038&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

Given your skill at making 3d replicas of retro radios, have you ever thought of making a ww2 military look a like walkie talkie?
Yes
Nice............

That's correct my friend 👍 it's a super heterodyne recover the 455 khz is the if frequency, try the radios out to see if they work, should work fine.
Beautiful machines, it is a pity that they were always made by poor countries. designed and made by us would cost a salary or two.
