Writers never get the money nor they fame. They are usually the outsiders that work themselves building a rapport amd becoming a half decent director so they can see next generation succeed. Problem with Indian society is that instead of resolving issues of previous generation, these new age director/writer start pushing same toxic behavior. And thats why nothing changes.

@@ankit_67-mc2uq that is true but that is precisely why this is an easy way to profit if done correctly, if producers can earn profit without Star that would make animation as a good option
I firmly believe that no production company, not even high-end production companies with their visual effects departments, could ever fully capture the magic of our myths and folktales (if ever be adapted into motion pictures) like an animation studio could. Unfortunately, animation in India is still primarily associated with children.
I wish they would do this .... Urban legends change not even frm State to state but also from city to city they could have such a wide variety of movies and tones
A small correction: Master rights are the rights of the recording of a song, not the composition or lyrics of the song itself. Owning the master rights means you control the use and distribution of that particular recording. However, this does not grant you the ability to remake or re-record the song into a new version. To do that, you would also need the publishing rights, which cover the underlying musical composition and lyrics.

Amol’s David vs. Goliath remarks reminds of Vivek vs. Salman. Everyone always knew that Salman Khan was a bad figure back in those days (and I think he still is). Alcohol, underworld, abusing and beating-up women, entanglement with the law, bullying co-stars...
When Vivek Oberoi came out speaking against Salman everyone sided with Salman and Vivek’s career was eventually destroyed. NOTHING CHANGED for Salman. On the contrary, his movies did well despite being poor products. I think this inflated his ego even more. Audiences also are at fault for this. I am quite sure in hindsight Vivek might be thinking that “doing right thing isn’t always sensible”.

I feel like writers should be given importance and protection, that's when we'd get the original stories.. Paying a meagre amount doesn't bring the talent out of them.
Good to see that Bollywood has been made accountable for plagiarism. There are more than enough instances where music composers have lifted tunes from foreign films , soap operas. Now that we are talking about getting away with copying scripts, can we talk about Anurag Kashyap's Shaitaan, that was completely copied from a novel named Nella By John Godey. And the author wasn't even credited for it. I know its a rare book. But bagging praises on something thats not originally yours is unethical. I really need someone to address this habit of bollywood of copying everything from the west while completely ignoring the talent here.
For the "sentiments" category, Loveyatri, originally titled "Loveratri," was later renamed for hurting people's sentiments as the title distorted the meaning of the festival. Terrible movie. But even terrible movies get into controversy.
A similar incident also happened in bollywood. Aakrosh name is being used 3 times as title of movie. Aakrosh (1980), Aakrosh (1998), Aakrosh (2010). They used Aakrosh title 3 times.
But isn't it contradictory sometimes? Kjo says that he gave a lot of ppl freedom during kalank while anurag kashyap had said in an interview that the success of Satya was due to the freedom RGV gave all his writers and technicians to do their thing. How does one find the right balance?

I love all your videos and how you dive deep into these issues!
The music industry everywhere has its problems, and India is no exception. While IPRS (Indian Performing Right Society) is supposed to support artists, corruption often means they don't get the money they deserve. It's a tough industry, much like working a nine-to-five job at a big company where exploitation can happen. Thank goodness for independent artists and the internet for giving them a platform!
Creating music and movies in India is challenging due to the varied audience. Some get the humor and creativity, but the high illiteracy rate means things can be misunderstood or taken the wrong way. It’s embedded in our society, and showing the reality can be tough, but it's important.
Keep up the great work with your videos!
There was also a movie called Fool and Final, which was nothing but a frame to frame copy of Guy Ritchie's Snatch. Only God knows whether the bollywood makers took permission from the original makers or not.
it was a copy of the movie but i won't call it frame by frame there are differences one of the big ones was the main character in snatch was turned into a supporting character in fool n final
Indian urban legends would work wonders if adapted in anime format
Indian cinema is star driven industry yaha sab kuch star driven hota h
@@ankit_67-mc2uq that is true but that is precisely why this is an easy way to profit if done correctly, if producers can earn profit without Star that would make animation as a good option
I firmly believe that no production company, not even high-end production companies with their visual effects departments, could ever fully capture the magic of our myths and folktales (if ever be adapted into motion pictures) like an animation studio could. Unfortunately, animation in India is still primarily associated with children.
I wish they would do this .... Urban legends change not even frm State to state but also from city to city they could have such a wide variety of movies and tones
It's so hard find information about urban legends tho 😢
Jammy is fire these days, regular video dropping
11:12 Not 3, only 2 released on the same day. The 3rd one released in the same year but not the same day.
We love your content, no matter you are in front of camera or behind it ❤.
Stallone's unwavering dedication to the 'Rocky' script, refusing to sell out and insisting on playing the lead himself, is a true testament to his guts and vision. It's a perfect example of rare courage and self-belief, as many people compromise due to a lack of faith in their content and more often it is lack of opportunity
It is really disheartening to hear as an aspiring writer. As leaving everything and coming to mumbai wasnt good enough, now we have to also deal with production houses and letting our vision be compromised.
One of the funniest petitions filed has to be that one piece of crap lawyer who had a problem with Aishwarya kissing on screen in ‘Dhoom 2’.
😆😆

As a film enthusiast, I find it immensely refeshing to see you analyze the film industry purely on the artistic front and thankfully not on the gossips. I get heartbroken everytime my fav bollywood film/ or a scene turns out to be a copy or "inspiration". It feels like a betrayal from an artistic pov.
Hey Jammie, I have been a long time subscriber of yours. But I personally love seeing your glimpses on camera now and then. I am definitely in for this format. And just a reminder that u are my fav reviewer for years now.
The craziest part of this video is that Jammy knows about pro wrestling! I came to tune in to hear about the controversies, and now I am here, getting my weekly dose of Wrestling! Thank you Ranveer Allahbadia for referring us to Jammy! Made all wrestling fans proud!
In the start of 2024 I was thinking about a film story in which few college students meet a gangster and then I saw Aavesham 😶

However, vision without success is just that. Vision with a profitable outcome is ofcourse the only way to progress in the tinsek town
Wowwww, Jammy sir, this was really enlightening!!!! Thank you sooo much!!!!! ❤❤❤❤ Your explanation with appropriate analogies was muaaaahhhh!!!!!
@14:17 Imtiyaz Ali team once mailed me for script of Rockstar 2 but I was hesitating because I know they will not give me any credit and just steal my ideas. So I'll venture into this once I know how to do it legally.
This is easily one of your most important videos! thank you for making it! Kudos! More power to you!
They used Aakrosh title 3 times.
aankhen - 1968/1993/2002
But isn't it contradictory sometimes? Kjo says that he gave a lot of ppl freedom during kalank while anurag kashyap had said in an interview that the success of Satya was due to the freedom RGV gave all his writers and technicians to do their thing. How does one find the right balance?
I’ve always appreciated the simplicity and engaging style of your earlier videos. While I understand the choice to add a personal touch by appearing on camera, I feel that showing your face may not be necessary to convey your message effectively. The focus on straightforward content delivery is what made your videos stand out, and maintaining that simplicity could enhance viewer engagement. I hope this feedback is helpful!
Its disheartening to see actual talented filmmakers and scriptwriters been treated like this. Imagine pouring in all ur time , effort and creativity into a project for someone to just taken away like this .
The ending when you said "Same people who come to this city as dreamers, just become realists" That's true for life in general.
My guy Anmol going Super Saiyan with the consistency. Respect x 💯.
(Also, we actually appreciate seeing more frequent content from you if it isn't coming at a cost of decrease in quality.)
Coming front of camera is good atleast we see whos talking other then imagining english professor yapping on movies in essay format
Very good piece brother. Too many artists , not enough canvases
And he'll never say that Taare Zameen Par was inspired from "The Sixty Sense"
Laapata Ladies thing is stupid. There is a Bengali short novel on the same premise where brides get exchanged. If anyone was inspired by anything, the telefilm was also inspired by it.
I don't mind your videos being shot like this! I think I like it more like this! Always nice seeing you on camera!!

My question is if the film Animal is a problem for the society according to some people, why is Heeramandi or Bad newz not treated in the same way
Right
Simply coz it wasn't watched on the same scale as Animal

I think it's mostly related to the how big Animal was compared to other flims.

Anmol, i think the best way to handle writer's version and film version of their stories is to publish the writer's script. In that way, people will have access to both the versions of the tale and can make a decision for themselves. Now, i know paper publishing is expensive but inline publication can be done. The writer need to have the copyright of their own story in this case.
Well recently some pakistani songs like "nach panjaban" and "pasoori" were copied in recent bollywood movies. The lawsuits were filed against the filmmakers but im not sure what happened afterwards
Nach Punjaban : there are various version of this.
Pasoori itself is a corrupted song. Actual word is “bhasuri”, that song is the hindi accent version of punjabi wording. Its still jarring for me to hear that song, coz all the pronounciation sound funny to me.
