The drums are all Kevin. He is just that good.
The Grassi Guitar does not require a megaphone. It is just a prop to draw attention to who is making the sound. I heard it done live and it was EPIC.
Brian May the lead guitarist of Queen posted this video to his social media.

  • @lynn2574

I absolutely love their cover. Brian May, Queen’s guitarist, gave his approval on it. To me, that speaks volumes. As others have said- drums are all Kevin, and the megaphone Mitch held for his ‘guitar’ solo is just a prop. He does it without live in concert.

You want to do live? You want to know them better? Watch their Sing Off performances! Where Kevin and Avi had only just met the 19 year old trio to do this because 3 people wasn't big enough! The grew.... quickly.... together and so very well they not only killed it... they won! I still go back as a pentaholic (and I'm sure we all do!) To watch them struggle but nail each performance LIVE

This is the perfect group to cover a song like Bohemian. Kind of reminds us of what a talented and ionic group Queen was and Freddie as lead singer. They were all such talented lyricists. In the beginning of the song it bounced from left headphone to the right just like in the original song. So fun!

Best song of all time. So many layers to this song and to think it was all done without any digital. Mind blowing. How many tracks they used just on that cascading part alone. They did a great job with this cover

Bismillah means “In the name of God” and is a reference to Freddie’s religion and heritage. Was very much argued about with the record label back in the day, I believe. And the Wayne’s World head mosh is essential! Great reaction 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿❣️

This is simply mind blowing sound. I can’t believe I pie never listened to this group until today. And I appreciate your true reaction Al appreciation to what you are hearing LFR.
The ability to make these sounds with not just a beat box but the bass that comes with it is such a tribute to Freddie’s greatest accomplishment. And Mitch making those guitar sounds with his voice is nothing short of genius level good

The complexity of this arrangement is amazing. It took them 5 years to perfect it to the point of recording it. It is amazing and if you notice ob the "Bismillah" part scott is doing both the let him go and the "we will not let him go" this was a full team effort because the timing had to be perfect. Kevin was also singing in some parts as well as beat boxing drums and everything else. There is no group better then PTX.

Love your PTX reactions so far ... Yes - that is really Kevin making the drum noises but you can see him us some kind of stomp pad when you see their concerts. Kirsten and Mitch are notorious for changing their look. She is considered a mezzo soprano so she can go high and low in the ladies rang. Mitch is considered a tenor but some have called him a countertenor because he can sing so high. Scott (the blonde) is a baritone so he can get the highs and the lows. Avi (the guy that looks like Jesus) is a bass and has a HUGE range, He left the group in 2017 for personal and health reasons and was replaced with Matt. There is a ton of live versions/concert recordings out there. If you are in a Christmas mood, their version of Silent Night will give you chills. They have originals in addition to their covers. Welcome to the PTX rabbit hole ...

You talk about a story of the song relating to Freddy Mercury. Freddy Mercury wrote this song, but I have never heard of a significant underlying story.

Bismillăh is the Islamic phrase "In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful." Freddie came from Tanzania, which has a large Islamic population. As for the meaning of the song. Brian May says that nobody in the band knows the meaning. Even Freddie himself said it was tongue-in-cheek and fantasy and wanted the listeners to evaluate it and decide what they take it to mean. So no...don't take it as literally killing a man...

Bissmillah is part of the phrase but just means in the name of God in arabic but muslims translate it as
      in the name of Allah
      Allah is arabic for God
