Richard Hatch deserves much more credit for all he has done over the years. He is a decent guy with good motives, a creative imagination, a great actor, and will forever be remembered as Captain Apollo of the battleship Galactica.
Rest in peace Richard. I have looked up to you and admired you as Captain Apollo when I was 6 years old. When I grew up I kept up with your attempts to revive Battlestar and I fully supported your vision. I will miss you dearly. Godspeed Captain :'(
What a great HUMAN being. I never had the pleasure to meet him, but I was all of 12 years old when Battlestar Galactica came out in 1978. He was a role model for boys who wanted to fly among the stars in a colonial viper. I tried to pattern my ethics after his even though I liked the cigar smoking Starbuck more. My favorite episode was The Lost Warrior where he lands his viper on a wild west like planet and has a showdown with redeye, a cylon which had crash landed earlier. Of course I liked all the episodes and was thrilled when he took up the cause to make The Second Coming trailer as a test for a new series. I understand he taught acting classes and was a motivational speaker. My deepest sympathies to his family, friends, co-stars and anyone else who had the privilege to meet and work with this man. So, I say let Commander Adama (Lorne Greene) look out for his t.v. son, Captain Apollo. Richard may you rest in peace, and please save a viper in blue squadron for me when I make the great beyond if I am worthy. Now you are truly like the last episode of the original series, "In The Hand Of God". Yours truly, a son of Caprica.

Richard Hatch played Apollo well. May he rest in peace.

A classy guy, which is more than I can say for some of his co-stars from TOS.
great actor and a damn good person in my book...
My friend got to meet the late Richard Hatch at a comic book convention, because his friend is a comic book artist. Wasn't that something?
A visionary.
Don't you know he hates it when he gets confused with that guy from Survivor.
dam richard is soo old
I like how Richard deals with this interviewer who's just asking canned questions and is not relating to Richard on a personal level at all.
