As a youtube addict and someone who has "seen it all", this - after all these years - is one of the most powerful things I have EVER heard in my life. This is beyond exquisite. This is nobel prize worthy. Of course you need to think in a certain way to appreciate it this much, but still ... This is pinacle of humanity in a musical form. Prove me wrong, I´m waiting.
Matej, I don't want to prove you wrong because you are certainly being rightly intoxicated by an artform of the highest order....wether this is as good as blind blind blind is like deciding if cy twomby is as good as Robert Motherwell. And to anybody who knows -the answer is obvious...zion are thee greatest fucking band of all time jx
Been having a pretty rough time lately - Just put this song on after breakfast to have a dance with my son and when the 'Don't give up' lyric came in it struck a massive chord with me and I burst into floods of tears haha. been building up for a while admitedly. Beautiful rendition of an amazing song.
This song and especially this performance have a deep spiritual meaning to me that is hard to put into words. I'm sure these fine musicians are divinely inspired.
Oh, we're just a garage band, just been doing a couple covers. I'm from just outside of milwaukee, wisconsin. Right now we're called pellet based hurricane, but we've been looking for a good name to change it to.

What I'm about to say isn't meant to be a 'moan' - I've had to put up with some shitty stuff in this life that I'm certain I wouldn't have been strong enough to face (stronger people than me have off'd themselves for far far less) if not for this song - I really truly honestly decided to try on and try on and try on at the conviction of Efrim's plea for us not to give up.

Wow you're really clever, deducing that I can't sing from my comment. Has it ever occurred to you why they call it a comment box? SO YOU CAN COMMENT. Not all comments have to be of some showy praising. My ability to sing had nothing to do with my opinion on the song. And if you even know what type of genre they sing in, you'll know that there is no singing in post-rock bands. So the song would've been FINE without the singing. Stop taking someone's opinion and twisting it so you can play Troll.
I really like a Silver Mt. Zion, but I felt that the singer totally ruined the song. He was okay when the drums coming in, but other than that, I don't think he was really needed.

Not sure why but a TH-cam short of some soldiers shouting a mortar made me think of this song. Haven’t listened to this since probably 2009-2010
it's beautiful and sad at the same time, it's brilliant
This was recorded on Sunday, 13-Apr-2008 at La Maroquinerie in Paris, France. Posted on La Blogothèque

@@OfficalMcMI’m sure we didn’t. It was a high school band and we mostly weren’t on the same page in terms of music taste.

From the album The "Pretty Little Lightning Paw" by Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra.

@davidgruty This was before Muse. Way before it.
Aha 9 year old comment, but no it wasn't. They formed in the same year and Muse already had a few albums at this point.
The intro kind of reminds me of the Fringe intro.
Sounds to me like your damn right are they touring in 2009? or 2010? i want to see them now :O xx

it's OK what you think, but a song is a song by itself.
So you've entirely missed the point of what they were about? Oh well...
