This is maybe my favourit Christmas song, my brother who passed away 2 years ago loved this song and he was the one who got me into Elvis when i was a child, so everytime i hear this song it makes me emotional but also good because i know my brother is with his favourit artist up in heaven now ❤️, thank you Ray for everything you do you are a blessing to us all.

A little known fact about this absolutely beautiful song is that Elvis' high school friend Red West, who later became his bodyguard and part of the "Memphis Mafia," actually wrote this song! If you know anything of Red, you know he was a hard-living guy who was tough as nails and didn't take anything off anybody. Yet, he was able to write this sweetly touching and beautiful Christmas song! He even sang it himself before giving it to Elvis, and he had a great voice too! It get stressful and Christmas day to New Years, I always have family visiting and my house is noisy and full of kids and adults abd I love it but before the chaos comes on Chrustmas Eve the weeks leading up to it, I love staying up for a bit when kids and hubby have gone to sleep and just sit in the dark with no lights but the Christmas tree, reminisce, listen to the clock ticking and just snuggle in a blanket in my jammies on my chair and watch Christmas movies or listen to Christmas music and just enjoy! For Elvis, Christmas was his favourite time of year, starting after thanksgiving and staying til Elvis’s birthday on the 8th of January. He loved the meaning of Christmas firstly and sings the traditional hymns with love and belief. His singing of Oh Little Town of Bethlehem, and Silent Night aer simply sacred and reverential. He would always give 50 cheques to Memphis Charities and also spend time on Christmas Day visiting prisoners in the local jail to have a chat!! Great reaction R’Elvis as always👌💕🕺🌲🎅🏼

I have mixed feelings about this song since Red West wrote it. Red, & his cousin Sonny, plus Dave Hebler, later turned on Elvis and betrayed him & trashed him, because they were fired. It goes to show that even a two-faced backstabber can write a truly great song!
Red wrote a couple of great songs for Elvis. The good news is, Red and Sonny both went to their grave regretting what they did. It is what it is. Let's just celebrate Elvis and be grateful we had him.
I kind of get the blues after Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays start. It's a result of an awful childhood, especially at Christmas when alcoholic parent and her siblings and boyfriend fistfighting. I shake it off and put up a tree and decorate the house and like magic, mood change! I love going around seeing Christmas lights. Before we got too old,our yards looked like Disney land with all the lights and decorations 😂. All our 6 children and grandchildren came over on Christmas eve to open gifts eat and celebrate. You couldn't even get into the living room for all the gifts and the grandkids And adult kids😂 would be so excited! I've missed that in the 9 years since my husband passed! This year I'm so grateful because my youngest son is alive and home! He was bleeding out from a hole in his stomach.He went to the ER and 2 hrs later was in the ICU! The 2nd night in there he had a heart attack and they had to bring him back!. he'd list so much blood he wasn't getting enough to his heart. I had people in Ohio, Mississippi and here in SC praying for him. God answered! I haven't seen him this excited about Christmas in years,and it's infectious!❤️ It's less than a week before Christmas but Iput a tree up anyway! I'm actually looking forward to Christmas for the first time in 10 years! The first year of thise 10, my husband was in a hospital bed where our tree would have been dying if cancer. He died a few months later here surrounded by our children and grandchildren. I haven't looked forward to Christmas since, until now! I pray you,Stacy and the children and your mother in-law all have a Wonderful Joyous and Safe Christmas! Thank you for riding this Elvis train with us! Unfortunately there are still too many people who believe what they are told growing up and don't take the time to do the research for themselves when they are adults. I have, on many occasions, gone ballistic on reactors when they say these things about Elvis. But more often than not, I have found that when you let them have it, they tend to stubbornly stick to what they believe and don't want to do any reactions that would prove them wrong. I have just found it works better when you tell them the rumours are not true and then point them in the right direction. But to each their own. It's still difficult for me to reign in my anger and even though I'm politely informing them of the facts, inside I'm screaming and wanting to say a lot more. I do get triggered when I hear reactors hating on Elvis, and saying they never wanted to react to his music because of what they believe, and these are the times when I can't be calm and just point them in the right direction...these are the reactors I lay into. For Elvis, Christmas was his favourite time of year, starting after thanksgiving and staying til Elvis’s birthday on the 8th of January. He loved the meaning of Christmas firstly and sings the traditional hymns with love and belief. His singing of Oh Little Town of Bethlehem, and Silent Night aer simply sacred and reverential. He would always give 50 cheques to Memphis Charities and also spend time on Christmas Day visiting prisoners in the local jail to have a chat!! Great reaction R’Elvis as always👌💕🕺🌲🎅🏼

I have mixed feelings about this song since Red West wrote it. Red, & his cousin Sonny, plus Dave Hebler, later turned on Elvis and betrayed him & trashed him, because they were fired. It goes to show that even a two-faced backstabber can write a truly great song!
I just focus on Elvis' voice and how he sings beautifully. The snakes you mentioned are beside the point 😊
Red wrote a couple of great songs for Elvis. The good news is, Red and Sonny both went to their grave regretting what they did. It is what it is. Let's just celebrate Elvis and be grateful we had him.

I kind of get the blues after Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays start. It's a result of an awful childhood, especially at Christmas when alcoholic parent and her siblings and boyfriend fistfighting. I shake it off and put up a tree and decorate the house and like magic, mood change! I love going around seeing Christmas lights. Before we got too old,our yards looked like Disney land with all the lights and decorations 😂. All our 6 children and grandchildren came over on Christmas eve to open gifts eat and celebrate. You couldn't even get into the living room for all the gifts and the grandkids And adult kids😂 would be so excited! I've missed that in the 9 years since my husband passed! This year I'm so grateful because my youngest son is alive and home! He was bleeding out from a hole in his stomach.He went to the ER and 2 hrs later was in the ICU! The 2nd night in there he had a heart attack and they had to bring him back!. he'd list so much blood he wasn't getting enough to his heart. I had people in Ohio, Mississippi and here in SC praying for him. God answered! I haven't seen him this excited about Christmas in years,and it's infectious!❤️ It's less than a week before Christmas but Iput a tree up anyway! I'm actually looking forward to Christmas for the first time in 10 years! The first year of thise 10, my husband was in a hospital bed where our tree would have been dying if cancer. He died a few months later here surrounded by our children and grandchildren. I haven't looked forward to Christmas since, until now! I pray you,Stacy and the children and your mother in-law all have a Wonderful Joyous and Safe Christmas! Thank you for riding this Elvis train with us! He isn't informed when it comes to Elvis and mentions Elvis stealing music, but please note, he wasn't being harsh or criticizing. He genuinely loves Elvis, but is, unfortunately, not too clued up on the details about him.
I don't believe in going off at people who think that these rumors are true. I think it's important for us to educate him on the facts, so it would be great if Elvis fans, and you too Ray, would head over to his channel, check out his reaction, subscribe and work together to help him understand who Elvis really was. He said he reads every comment and he did answer me when I commented.
Let's all work together to ensure Elvis' legacy lives on, and squash these rumors once and for all.

@@makingthecoin3647 Don't get me wrong. I agree with you, and it makes me so mad when I hear reactors talking about Elvis stealing music. Unfortunately there are still too many people who believe what they are told growing up and don't take the time to do the research for themselves when they are adults.
I have, on many occasions, gone ballistic on reactors when they say these things about Elvis. But more often than not, I have found that when you let them have it, they tend to stubbornly stick to what they believe and don't want to do any reactions that would prove them wrong.
I have just found it works better when you tell them the rumours are not true and then point them in the right direction.
But to each their own. It's still difficult for me to reign in my anger and even though I'm politely informing them of the facts, inside I'm screaming and wanting to say a lot more.
I do get triggered when I hear reactors hating on Elvis, and saying they never wanted to react to his music because of what they believe, and these are the times when I can't be calm and just point them in the right direction...these are the reactors I lay into.

First of all you have the Neighborhood who trashes Elvis. Even black friends or acquaintances it's like they are a cult " Elvis is a racist" that's it they heard it from a parent etc. No examples. I don't bother. Now the white clan. A group of ethnic cleansed Whites. No they didn't kill each other they flushed there ethnicity and culture down the toilet. They have no foundation they are afraid they will be labeled something by other cultures. These are the types who apologize to black people, ashamed but I am not one of them please, please. Pathetic. They make up much of the sheepish who cannot like Elvis because they will be called a bigot. So they make it a point to take the side of blacks for any reason. Mind you these are people who never had a black person over there home or live in multi racial communities. I grew up in Brooklyn NY. I have experienced more black culture in daily life everyday growing up through friends and there families than these whites. Those are the same who are in Grunge, Celebrity Lifestyles etc who pump out trash and poison pieces on a daily basis on Elvis but you will not see them do anything on Michael, Chuck Berry, BB and there examples. I am not a white defender don't lump me with ALL whites. I will defend my ethnicity my family lineage who also were enslaved by Muslim/Ottomans. Finally because I see I am driving you nuts here 1 more thing. I was the one that asked Ray to do the Bobby Wilson clip. He is a good man. I have tried with other reactions with huge #s with a decent donation and they backed off after watching it.
The Costas/Charles I knew something was off on what Ray said. I knew in the 80s Ronnie Milsap Christmas TV show he had Ray on. I remember Milsap years later replied that Ray said Elvis was the only Rock star that on the middle of his show would take his audience to Church, amazing. Then found out he said it some 12 years earlier to Sammy Davis at a special dinner this in Rona Barrett Hollywood. So what happened decades later,.......Quincy who had two different in studio meetings with Charles 1990s.
