To people who still dont know why he slipped to 57, Kawakami said teams in the 30s asked his agent if they're willing to sign Trayce in a 2way deal and they refused knowing Warriors are willing to give him a multi year deal. And Trayce's agent is Mike's brother
@@TEAMGETHELPIt means that players who sign Two-Way will be non-guaranteed for salary, which means if they are waived, their salary won’t be regarded as a part of cap holds. Teams won’t need to pay for the un-existed salary.
TJD is ready to play right away. Indiana played through this guy on every possession. He has a full array of post moves you warriors fans are looking for
TJD's skill set makes the Chris Paul trade even more valuable. The 2nd unit can slow down the pace with simple PNRs, some ISO, and simple screens to simplify the game for their young talent while giving some rest to the aging starters. Kuminga and Moody can thrive in that environment, it will be a shift form the constant motion when Steph and Klay are running everywhere.

The hate started when he played us. Lol &let’s not forget Steph trained with CP3 and his trainer before Steph won the 2015 chip. I’m all in with this trade.
David West didn't shoot the 3 but was very effective for the Warriors in their system catching the ball at the elbow, passing and occasionally backing down. Like him over PBJ.
Looney's a great example of this type of player that the Warriors draft: guys who have a lot of skills, but lost hype over their college careers either because of injuries or something else. That said, I like what I've heard so far, however, I still want to see some size on the squad.
I don't follow college that much but I did see a few of Jackson-Davis's games. I am kinda shocked he was gettable this far down in the draft. Even more shocked I knew of this guy and we got him. I think I am beginning to learn you can't teach aggression; from our missed picks that's what we seem to be missing. Players like this can wear down a defense in ways 3 point makes can't. Looking forward to the season start.
Agree. Look at what Milojevic did for looney. You could see the improvement. That tells you another about looney and a lot about wiseman and soon enough a lot about jackson
Alch, you forgot to mention that a naturally aggressive guy now has a MAJOR chip on his shoulder. He had a draft party in his hometown and had to watch Indiana among other teams pass over him over and over for dudes with a fraction of his stats.... I like it (and I loved his tweet).
I definitely like his edge. He has more of a dog in him than PBJ. Don't get me wrong I like PBJ but TDJ should eat up rebounds and will commit to playing defense.
If what I think is going to happen happens then that 2nd unit is going to be ridiculous. Even if it fails Dunleavy did exactly what he was supposed to do
I'm always impressed by your insight and analysis. You also are very clear in communicating your thoughts. Thank you for your work on this young player and all other reports that you do.
Really hope that Draymond will unlock the defensive "it-ness" this kid should have. I have similar concerns about his defensive motor and techniques. Definitely seems like a warrior type player
Curry will be 40 when he unlocks his defensive prowess, don’t worry tho we have a YOUNG veteran CENTER who can defend like a beast and REBOUND better than BEN RODMAN in the name of CHRIS PAUL 😤🐐
I’m a huge IU fan. He’s dominant on the offensive end. Being part of GS is EXACTLY where he needs to be! They will develop him! If he ever gets a jump shot, watch-out!
If he hasn’t even attempted 1 3pt in college his whole career, do you think he will start shooting at the pro level? I personally think it’s too late for that but hope im wrong. It’s not part of his game and to tell a 23yo to basically implement that is way too late I feel like.

The Dubs second unit is shaping up to be a SOLID lineup with CP, Davis n GP. Steve now will have an option of slowing the game down with general Paul leading the 2nd unit platoon. Expect heavy dose of PnR, DHO n some bullhorn. [ I actually like this setup even better than the idea of getting Dame in a CP trade, although Dame is a top 7 player in the league CP gives them alot of options in different situations - Dame just offers scoring but can't control the flow of a game with the 2nd unit or read a game like General Paul]. Chris is master of the midrange going diagonally across the free-throw line, he usually hits an automatic turn around midrange. BIG time luxury will be STEPH CAN IF HE WANTS CAN PLAY OFF BALL when Chris is in, which will make 30 much more deadlier n effective. Don't forget GP doing clean up on the glass both on D n offense on the second unit. With such a 2nd unit Steph can rest n actually see a lead increase unlike last season. Plus in the closing minutes of a game u can have CP, Davis, with Steph, Klay, Wigs option of Dre/Loon Steve will have better mix n much options.
Thanks for the scouting report. I didn't know Trayce was that good. I lamented the trading of PBJ, but, you do bring up some good points about his durability. After hearing your take on the 57th pick, I am more enthused about the selection.

I say TJD might have a more significant impact than Pod or PBJ. Hopefully, Warriors culture can teach him more on some light shooting and being a better finisher. Also, I hope Green takes a pay cut since he really ruined the team but I dont mind if we move on from him. Priority for the bigger size is far more important than being loyal to players or whatever when people say Green is a leader or emotional leader? Why would you punch someone? No matter how bad the situation is. Cp3 might be an awkward fit but for 2nd unit might give a try and if it doesn't work then trade him by deadline. Now Warriors need more size and stretch 4/bigger wings....free agency and trades.
He will play the 4, maybe 5 for small-ball but he can potentially be that support Looney/Dray needed when a facing bigger front-court. Idk how he'd fit with JK or Klay tho
Think of Kenyon Martin...he wasn't anything at Cincinnati his first 3 years...then all of a sudden his senior year he was the man. I remember thinking where was this guy last year. No 3 point ability either. League has changed, but i really like Jackson. I think you're right about PBJ, may be fragile. Wiseman's hands.😢
IMHO; Jackson-Davis's selection fits into the Warriors' overall game in a few ways. First, he provides them with a physical presence in the post. The Warriors have been a small-ball team for most of their recent success, but they could use some size and strength down low. Jackson-Davis can provide that, and he could also be a lob threat for Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Second, Jackson-Davis is a good shooter. He shot 34.3% from three-point range in college, and he has the potential to be a stretch four in the NBA. This would give the Warriors more spacing on offense, which would open up driving lanes for Curry and Thompson. Third, Jackson-Davis is a good defender. He is strong and athletic, and he has the potential to be a good rim protector in the NBA. This would help the Warriors protect the paint, which has been a weakness for them in recent years. Overall, Jackson-Davis's selection is a good fit for the Warriors. He provides them with size, shooting, and defense, which are all things they need. He is a high-upside player, and he could be a valuable contributor to the Warriors in the years to come. Here are some of the pros and cons of the Warriors drafting Jackson-Davis: Pros: He is a versatile player who can score in multiple ways. He is a good shooter and defender. He has the potential to be a good rim protector. He is a high-upside player. Cons: He is not a great athlete. He needs to improve his ball-handling and passing skills. He is not a great rebounder. Overall, I think the Warriors made a good pick by drafting Jackson-Davis. He is a talented player who has the potential to be a valuable contributor to the team.
He just wants to win and he will do whatever to help the squad win, had multiple triple doubles last year. He's fine if his roll is just to rebound and pass out of the post. Trayce has some injury issues but he will just suck it up and play, he's that kinda player. He plays angry and the whole league just pissed him off, as an iu fan I will be following the warriors.

honestly getting jordan bell vibes, but with a way higher ceiling. i think he could be good off the bench and now with cp3 as a vet i could see him growing nicely, if he earns th minutes that is
I’d thought he was a first rounder for sure and I didn’t mind taking him at 19. Something the dubs really miss, a strong interior presence with athleticism. His IQ seem great as well and he will soak a lot info from the dub greats. This can potentially be the guy we’ve been waiting for.

I'm on the record as wanting him at 19. I kinda like Brandin apart from defense, but I don't get it. Brandin can Pass but he's not a floor general so you still need to bring Quinones up and Moody is still at the 2 (his only position imo) needing minutes, I also preferred the 6' 8" size of Julian Strawther to Brandin (which better simulates Klay in our long term plans... either way, why was TJD an afterthought? Especially with Strawther and Slawson out there? They couldn't have purchased a 2nd rd pick or Traded one of ours for one? Why did we have to lose PBJ? His salary was nothing.

Here are some of the pros and cons of the Warriors drafting Jackson-Davis:
Pros:
He is a versatile player who can score in multiple ways.
He is a good shooter and defender.
He has the potential to be a good rim protector.
He is a high-upside player.
Cons:
He is not a great athlete.
He needs to improve his ball-handling and passing skills.
He is not a great rebounder.
Overall, I think the Warriors made a good pick by drafting Jackson-Davis. He is a talented player who has the potential to be a valuable contributor to the team.

I been calling for brook since they went out against Miami..
Yooooooo I been saying this as well in this order Brook Lopez Naz Reid Mason Plumlee Andre Drummond
Losing PBJ hurt me man
honestly getting jordan bell vibes, but with a way higher ceiling. i think he could be good off the bench and now with cp3 as a vet i could see him growing nicely, if he earns th minutes that is
He'll be way better than Jordan Bell. I hope TDJ keeps his edge for being drafted so low.
😊 I have been watching them for the last year since Mike Woodson got there . I was hoping that the Knicks with jump on this super athlete
I’d thought he was a first rounder for sure and I didn’t mind taking him at 19. Something the dubs really miss, a strong interior presence with athleticism. His IQ seem great as well and he will soak a lot info from the dub greats. This can potentially be the guy we’ve been waiting for.
*A)* Ok, he plays like Kuminga..... *So now Kerr is gonna have TWO GUYS TO KEEP ON THE BENCH AND NOT PLAY...PERFECT!?*
They *NEED* a *Seven-footer Asap!* *It's NOW OR NEVER.*
*And 7'2" Freak Moses Brown 💪is the ONE to fit that spot now!*
Father was in the NBA, he belongs on the Dubs. And, if he has his Dad's dog in him they need it
Patrick Baldwin Jr had that pure smooth jumper just couldn’t stay healthy
He’s gonna learn defense from Dray and where to be on offense from CP3. Insane! I think he’ll improve quickly with minutes
Yup.. if he can be in the right spots on both ends his physical gifts and motor will shine
Loved the comps but he also has some Ben Simmons to his game!
THE QUESTION….DOSE HE FIT WITH WARRIORS. “AND” How long will it take for DEVELOPMENT? WARRIORS NEED THE SIZE in front court
GO GSW
10:13 the casual PAUSE 😂
he might honestly be a steal of the draft
