When I lived in Albuquerque, I had 40! I took a trimming lesson from the Rose society when they invited the public to one of their rose garden trimming sessions. Once established, it's not too hard to maintain, but they are somewhat labor intensive. Since I've moved back to California tho', it's not as easy because of my coastal climate, and competition with the bazillion gophers that eat any tasty roots (they killed my fig tree & have discovered my irises. Grr.)

I’ve got to say, George, this was one of the best episodes I’ve seen and I’ve been watching you for years. First off, it really feels like you listen to people in the comments, and try to correct for that in later episodes. You put your face on camera, so we feel a familiarity with you, and you continue to do so much better at explaining why you have to take out certain plants at certain times, etc. All the things we crybaby fans tend to get upset over. Plus, we really got to meet Stevo! Of all the helpers you’ve had, over the years, that man impresses me! You two work together as a team, and we can really see that you respect him. That’s important to us! Your channel just keeps getting better! And, yes, we in the northern hemisphere definitely need that sunshine from down under! Thank you for that! 😊

Your trimming abilities? I like that you aren't afraid to take off what needs to come off. I just love a very precise looking yard.

Steves knows. With age comes wisdom. It should be in an insulated shed with lagging around thee pipes and a hot tank jacket. In the uk,our hot tanks are inside and the insulation is heavy duty. Lovely garden and beautiful finish guys❤❤❤❤

Hi George , we in America , calls it air conditioner.
I can't say it enough , but I love watching you work your magic to all the yards you do. And it's good to see you have someone that loves working just as hard as you do.

Also in the US we have a heat pump.

@@lynnehughes3884 I think it is mostly due to humidity whether homes have heat pumps or air conditioning. We have baseboard electric heating plus a wood burning fireplace. We use window unit AC in the summer as needed. I wouldn’t want to deal with the big single HVAC units because of the troubles dust or humidity in the vents could cause and the filters getting clogged etc.

Hi George, Steve-O, nice job. The rose bushes look fine to me. That property seemed so large. Hard to tell where it began and where it ended. 😁 Joyce❤️🙏🇺🇸

Around where I live most water heaters are outside in a little shed attached to the side of the house (older houses) or in the attached garage (newer houses). Then if it bursts the water just runs out into the street. And they are insulated well enough. But mine is in the basement so if it bursts it will cause the maximum amount of damage. I should either move my water heater or install a good sump pump.
