If they give an option to remove the record limits and let the camera overheat, the S9 would instantly become a lot more desirable as a video/vlog camera
Kind of sucks that the 15min limit is software instead of hardware. I mean, it's good that it can record longer, just sucks the software limit is that strict.
This camera position is weird. For this small body panasonic should focus more for photography (street style) and with custom Lut it can easily compete with Fuji X100. But no mechanical shutter and only cold shoe that bumner
this camera isn't meant for film makers so i don't see why a 15 minute recording limit would be a problem... never really understood that... even when i worked in Film no take ever took 15 minutes... feels kinda silly to complain about that... the missing hot shoe is a real bummer though... but for just a few 100 more you can get the S5ii/x
For who this camera is marketed for even more so. Most of my short form videos are 5mins of recording max. Headphone jack has an easy workaround (use a DJI or Rode mic that has it's own jack) Hot shoe is a weird one though; curious if they simply ran out of space inside the camera?
Have you met a vlogger/livestreamer? They record for over 30mins capturing everything going on around them i.e. visiting a theme park or livestreaming which this camera cannot do. This camera is a full frame crippled camera made for short form content and they want you to pay $1500 for the privilege of using Real Time LUTS HARD PASS
@@CallMeRabbitzUSVI so the 3 people who are vloggers who record for 30 minutes because they hate quality content aren't interested.... i think Panasonic can live with that
A Thai channel, Asayhi, tested and used Lumix S9 for his FB/ TH-cam live stram (using video capture) and it could last more than 2 hours in studio. This was the requirement : - Screen out / not close to the camera (so heat can be released. - Use Battery dummy adapter (He has it since it the same battery as S5ii) - He said that Battery dummy adapter last longer than USB charger (For USB charger, he faced heat problem after using it for a while) - If you dont have Battery dummy adapter, you can use its own battery without USB charger. Then, the livestream can continue until you ran out of battery and it can last longer than 1 hour.

Panasonic magic lantern clone will be a thing at some point i hope
Ah yes the classic problem of every PC enthusiast at some point. You can only get so much cooling in a tiny enclosure 😅

At 26 degree it can record 15m ... Then in India it would don't even work here the temp is 43 degree avarage now..m

Actually though... I filmed so many cool short clips for social while in Japan on this camera, most were less than a minute long

This is cool! … or hot… 🤔 Either way, thanks for taking the time to test! 🙌🏼
Is the canon R6 ii worth it in 2024? I’m confused whether to buy it or wait for R6 iii
Yes it is. The camera is great to use and super reliable. But so is the R7

Cool, why would they lie about this?
I explain more in the full-length video. But basically...Strict company overheating standards.
Oh ok 👍
Why does youtube keep recommending your channel to me? Your click bait shit and non disclosures on shorts = 0 respect.
