My word, what a haul! Fascinating mines, what a Welsh history of workers and their families. Great to see Enzo in the mix, tooling around with Drew. Most appreciative of all the work in producing these episodes.
Thank you for being an honest man which are few in today’s world. Love the videos and I love antiques. I also buy and sell antiques in Texas but not on the same scale as you.
I just found our I'm 1/4 Welsh on my Dad's, mother's side the Morgans! My 6th great grandfather Zackquil Morgan fought in the French Indian War, built Morgan Fort, and was a Colonel in the Revolutionary War. Afterwards he was granted a track of land in W. Virginia, and donated 50 acres to lay-out the new town of Morgan, West Virginia founded in his name. There's Morgan Chapel also founded by his family. The Morgans immigrated to America around 1730's. His father's name was Morgan, Morgan and they originated from Glammorgan, Wales.
Learning a lot. Loved rollerskating on the slate sidewalks here in Philadelphia, Pa when I was younger. Drew needs to charge for all the information he gives out.Seems that is the only reason some of the folks call him.
oh man, memories of the slate quarry from around 1976 or 1977...I know we were on holiday on Shell Island when Elvis died (I went to the island shop for newspaper and bread for the morning and was shocked at the headline)
I see how he doesn't want to give the final value of all the pharmacy stuff cuz then it will give that seller a heartache knowing what he given away for a low amount
I would love to have that large mortar and pestle. Can't imagine what it would cost. I enjoy seeing the countryside of Wales. Ancestry DNA just informed me that I am about 28% Welsh. I had no idea. Good show.
Wow that chemist shop is awesome, I hope that it stayed together 🤞🤞. Just come across your channel and have subscribed, i live in Australia but was born in England but left when I was 12 so some of the places I remember with fond memories. Thank you for sharing, might be some binge watching coming up yay 👍👏💖🥰
He made at least £5,300 profit in a couple of hours. No kidding that 'it was definitely worth coming down here today'. Shame the school didn't get more of a slice.
Walks into a storeroom full of upholstered furniture with taped paper signs reading "Keep". All moldy, damp, unusable. Then he finds a wiggly wood table in the stables, offers a 100 pounds for it, and she says for that amount they'll keep it in the stables. Watch the wood worm eat it away for amusement. Amazing. What a waste!
What an ungrateful so an so Aliki turned out to be after Drew solved the mystery of the old chapel panelling for them. He could have said nothing and they would not be any the wiser ... so 150 Pounds for the old table was a good price for all the work it needed doing to it. But storing furniture especially textile furniture outside in an outbuilding is silly and the only place for it now is the skip !
Not really when you consider the petro and wages of transportation and then any cleaning and restoration. Plus he has a brick and mortar store. It's how picking of antiques is done here in the states too.
16:14 min "I would have auction her off as well but she's caring my granddaughter..." what a comment, why on earth would you say that? "daddy of the year" I guess
@@WhiteTriForce All I'm saying is that this is not an IT, no matter what Drew thinks. If you look for the breed on Google its quite plain to see. Anyway the little guy died 3 years ago, bless him, surely was a happy doggo.
God I have a piece of wood in my garage it must be gothic and from 18th century and I know all this because I looked at in the dark with my light on my phone😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can’t get enough of this. Love the homes and estates in the UK. Unreal! Keep on finding the great stuff.

I'VE BEEN IN LOVE WITH ANTIQUITIES AND THINK THOSE PANELS FOR A CHAPEL ARE SPOT ON THE REAL DEAL!
Thank you for sharing.

So glad to see something new (to me). Let's hear it for TH-cam! Really enjoy Rebecca et al. Thanks.
I love the honesty and fairness in the deals he makes!
Oh I would love to buy the chemist sign for my husband, he was a chemist for 30 years before retiring…..he would love it.
Love love love your videos I wait to see the new ones as I have watched all the old ones to the new ones...
I couldn't agree more!!

Me too, slate sidewalks are the best to skate on but really bad to walk on when it is snowing, slippery when icy.
Thank You So Much! For Sharing This.. Greetz from the Netherlands.
Another great show I absolutely love it keep them coming I look forward to seeing them
Excellent program! Love seeing the countryside!!!
Also: Drew got the bargain of the century!

Thanks for the upload! x
I'm curious who in the Welsh family said, "I know, let's turn the chapel into a toilet." !!!!!
That's how sadly the world is turning.
Somebody quite pragmatic, obviously!
What a find at the slate mine! 20 minutes from home and such a lot to sort through.

Wow recommended so I watched episode . absolutely love it..will be watching more .I subscribed .
That last haul was impressive.. I would more love to delve into the boxes..
It's sad now that Boothby now longer owns the castle. New owner Nigel Ford bought it plus 350 acres

Thats great, slate covers traditional buildings here in Bergisches Land. I feel so connected hehe
First time, I saw your dog with you. Its amazing. 🐕

Wow...that Man in the Castle is a Giant!
Interesting. You sure know your merchandise values.
Thank you for sharing.
God bless
Nearly wet my pants at the Chemist find. That was so exciting.
More recently I like that it has started reconditioning cars as well

Brilliant show.
Omg I wouldn’t ever know about these places if you didn’t show me lol loved seeing Enzo too!
For 100 ...keep the Table...Oh, yes! Smart Lady!
The weathervane is amazing
A beautiful and very impressive presentation. I wish you success in your work and success. Accept my greetings.
Amazing teasures
Love the door!!
where on earth did he drop those off? don't think I've seen that building before...maybe, but not the main showroom I remember.
Why does he never have a real flashlight
I've not been to the slate mines (yet!) but I would prefer to see the slate in natural colours. Slate has lovely colours.

I love it when they say 'I want to do something with that.' Then they do not sell it. Yah, the something should be SELL IT!!!
I'm from Romania and you watch all the shows on Discovery He and You
He who has no past has no future
Seems low price for all those items.

Yeah that was mental!
Thank God your shaking hands again.
This video is probably 10 years old ,he is still in his very first building
Why people would rather hold onto things and keep it in a shed - instead of selling it / you know they’re never going to fix or restore those items
I absolutely hate when they end the show without telling us what they got for everything in that haul ..........Hate it.
"Plündert das Castle - brandschatzt - nehmt alle Möbel mit" - gibt schon schöne Sachen
To me, this is the British variation of American Pickers.
❤❤❤
Background music is too loud and distracting. I’ll go someplace else.
What kind of dog breed is Enzo ? 🤔
Either a Lab-orghini or a Fur-rari. Joke/pun.
@@hopelewis5650 thanks for your reply ! 🤔
Drew responded on another post and said he's a pure breed Irish Terrier !
🐕👈😉💯%
@@WhiteTriForce Not an Irish Terrier. Google them. If he bought him as that, he was conned for once. 😂 Cute fellow though.
@@catrionagarde4410 I don't have to Google them,
