On my 763, there was a line in the open (in the front) When I pulled it out, it looked just like the tube you have there with no filter. I blew through it and it was clear. Turns out, the pick up tube was actually behind it right under the engine block. There appears to be no way of removing it without pulling the engine.😢
Mine was pinched between oil pan and top of plastic fuel tank . Just abandon old lines install new ones from pickup tube to fuel pump then a return line back to tank . I got mine out fixed kinked fuel line . But I have abandoned old lines on other machines
