For some reason I doubt that the size of Great Danes I'm pretty sure they don't realize that's the exact way they're supposed to look he wasn't even overweight looking at him those large breed dogs probably eat two times a day for their body size so really they would have malnourished him in my opinion I wonder if the vet told them put out and diet are they just thought that on their own because that kind of fishy a large breed dog like that would eat two times a day

"you know that's not ok guys. Taking away my chicken is not acceptable" my mastiff wouldn't let it happen either, he was REALLY starting to get big bc my girlfriend overfed him while I was out of town. When he only got breakfast, after around 3-4:00 he would literally stalk me Everytime anything with food was involved. He'd get vocal just like this guy to let me know he was watching me eat and would clean my plate if I needed. ♥️after 7 years not sure who rescued who ♥️ I can't imagine a day without him.

Exactly he's actually a normal sized Great Dane you can tell by looking I think they are taking it upon their own self instead of asking a professional vet on whether their dog is overweight and also great danes normally looked that size I think two times a day is just write one time a day for a Great Dane is under feeding them

once i raised my voice at my puppy. 10 mins later while i was sitting on the couch i felt something warm and wet on my leg. looked down and there he was with his leg raised peeing on me. then my boyfriend yelled at him for peeing on me. later my puppy went and peed in 5 different left shoes of my boyfriends. that is called spiteful.

I think they came up with the idea to put them on a diet theirselves because I don't see a vet telling them to put them on a diet I've seen plenty of Great Danes and that's about the size of them they're large dogs to which means they probably are supposed to eat at least two times a day

I had a golden retriever that I had to have put down a year ago and I nothing has been the same ever since I miss my Rascal so much he would talk to me like this all the time. I have decided that in the fall I will get a similar type dog probably a rescue dog it’ll be my first rescue dog and I hear they are so appreciative for giving them a loving home I will see soon.
If it ain't gonna be no chicken for dinner up in here, there'd better be BEEF for LUNCH, then!

I rescued Danes and there is no other breed once you've had one . If we were having chicken , we couldn't say the word or one would go nuts . We always spelled chicken when she was around . In fact once I swear I heard her say it . I miss them all terribly but one lived to 12 and another to 13 which is a great life for a Dane .

Giant breeds like danes are usually better off with several meals a day. Ours has to have three meals otherwise she gets diarrhoea from eating two larger ones! They are prone to bloat too.

I want a great dane so bad. They're such silly dogs, so full of character. But I know they have a short life span and I don't know if I could handle the heartbreak of losing a beautiful soul like that.
just as good as but will live for 12 years and English mastiff if the boys are too big for you get a girl. ours is way to smart for her own good she's 8 and she just gets smarter
We had Irish wolfhounds for a while, they are so amazing, hands down best family dog, so loving, easy to train, but could handle my kids heatbrake.
Get a half dane...smaller frame usually =longer lifespan. 30-50 lbs is best size for dogs.
My kids are big enough now, that I can trust them around heelers.
My eldest Dane is a bit over 11 years old now, my second eldest is 8, but I agree that I'd be heartbroken.
