    As a lifelong Wire fan I am very sorry that it has come to the end. I think DP is a decent, honest bloke who cared passionately about the club but the problems at the club are much deeper. I wish him all the very best.

    Warrington to me have never had players that are proud and have pride to be wearing the wire shirt and as a result don’t have that dig deep desperation that’s needed to win the big games constantly and that has got to be something within the club that has to change 🤷‍♀️

    The issue with the club stems from people in positions higher than the head coach. As stated by DP saying that he would have changed the a few players around but in the end it wasn't his decision. In addition to this the players need to be able to take the criticism and build themselves as they are all able to put on a great show of skill. it's unfortunate to see DP go and wish his future in Coaching great success

    Its the players attitude surely? Warrington have been found out though after a favourable early season fixture list

    I think Daryl has done the right thing you could see the stress on his face every game not good for his health mentally and physically obviously lost the players respect they looked uninterested against wakey good luck Daryl

    So Tony smith, price and Darryl Powell are all no good? Maybe wire are just mid table side and that’s that.

    Nothing against Daryl personally, it just hasn't worked out here. Wish him well for the future.

    Crazy man management from Powell over the last two seasons you could make a better team with the players he has let go.

    Daryll Powel for widnes coach. I'd deffo have him at widnes. I personally don't want Stuart Littler. Where have Oldham and Swinton been the last few seasons? In league 1. Nar not for me that.

    I think there’s quite a few players that should be giving their wages back.
    Disgusting tbh.

    well maybe next year for Warrington. i was saying at the beginning of the season they would achieve nothing you just need to look at his record at Castleford and Featherstone were even at there best he failed when it came to the crunch . next stop odsal i would think as he can bring clubs to a certain level its just taking it beyond just contender's that's the problem

    Time to go mr powel the team have lost there heart lost there confidence and to find clark going to saints thats the final kick in the head weve lost our finest players,hill,lineham,mamo,clark x2 weve nothing left in the tank,mikaela left and wasnt replaced? Why? 2 salary cap places not filled why? Thats poor coaching no excuses

    • @MartinJames389
      @MartinJames389 ปีที่แล้ว

      Every place in every squad is a salary cap place. They ALL count. You're thinking of marquee players. Only two are allowed per club (three next year) and George Williams is a marquee player, so you don't have two vacancies.
      A marquee player is anyone paid over £175,000. Only part of their salary counts towards the salary cap of £2.1 million. How much counts depends on where they developed and came through to Super League standard. If it was from your own Youth system it's £50,000, if they've just been signed from the NRL, it's £150,000.
      So, you club's salary cap is £2.1 million for the squad, though the "origin" discount is not included for up to two player(s) to whom you pay more than £175,000. Got it?

    Think if you sign mid table players that the top 4 or 5 teams would not, you are a mid table team at best. Two big forwards looking for their last payoff and two forwards certainly no better than George King were the signings. We have one forward the top 5 would consider signing if available. We need some honesty about the quality of our players rather than bluff, they are mostly average and that results in an average side not one that is going to be a serious challenger for league or grand final honours. Our management team are replica team shirt salesmen, they don't have rugby league in their blood like the management's at the top clubs

    Let’s address the elephant in the room! Warrington fans have developed delusions of grandeur. Their unrealistic expectations are the issue here!

    • @briwire138
      @briwire138 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolute rubbish, that's just a fallacy invented by the fans of other teams. I don't hear any unrealistic expectations in the pubs or terraces on match day. True that we have high expectations at the start of the season, who doesn't? Every team will be hoping that they do well each season. We have a full salary cap, big backers and can fill our stadium when we are playing well. Our weakness is mental toughness and the ability to turn games around when things aren't going our way, and, turning the screw on teams when we are well in front.

      I agree especially when he took them for perennial last place to within 2 pts I think of the play offs,treated very shabbily for me. That said absolutely NO chance of him returning to Superleague,to any club.
