I think it wasn't about how easy or difficult these 2 guys did, it was about variety... And Bailey did corks corks corks corks... I know he is insane but he didn't show it, he did the same things and messed up when Andrew challenged him at kicks. The winner was obvious...
I don't think this was about variety at all...Bailey actually had MORE variety than Andrew if you were watching closely. Kicks =/= more original than twists, this coming from someone who likes kicks a lot more. Bailey, however, crashed a lot while Andrew stayed consistent. For this set of judges, I think that was important enough to make a unanimous call.
Andrew won because his combos were clean and variant. Bailey did twisting 90% of the time and messed up twice. Andrew had kicks, twists, flips, spins, and sharpness. Baily lacked a few of these plus he fell, giving the win to Andrew. Bailey is amazing regardless. Those wraps were beautiful
Guys we know who won and we should agree with judges, look bailey was same around I mean INSANE twists ! but Andrew shown us what martial arts tricking is.
I liked how Bailey started with dub back but did toooo risky tricks and combos .. also too much corks and bad kicks.. i think he forgot that he is not in his gym, he is battling... andrew was sooo fast and clean ..very impressive skills
Idk, maybe I'm just uneducated or ignorant but I don't think it's right that the validity of a whole pass can be negated by a sorta screwed up landing. Bailey managed to pull off all he tricks he did really well until the very last one if a few of his passes, costing him the match. It's called tricking, not passing. I just don't feel like it's a fair way to critique this sort of sport.
I accualy screamed thousand times for Bailey´s combo stains. Even though he bailed, he made it really cool, i had to go back to look if it really was a bail. Great battle anyway.
Andrew did allot off kicking and the execution of his kicks are deadly. Bailey started with a nice and simple Roundoff Double Back ,but after that he stayed in his comfort zone. He did allot of his standard moves like Wrapfull. If Bailey focus more on Kicks ,then he got a better chance to win!
i think it was mainly because bailey had those slip ups when he was ending his combos. to me it looked like he wasn't really into it and was just messing around
I personally feel like the judges got this wrong. While I do agree that Andrew NAILED his combos with precision, I also feel that they were extremely safe for the level of competition. Bailey's combos, while not as clean s Andrews, were gutsy and longer consistently increasing in difficulty. Bad call on the judges, however congrats to Andrew!
Bailey got pushed out of his comfort zone, that xout double back though!! Andrew is consistent and clean and he has a chance to get the finals. There are no trickers left to even get close to Guthrie's level, consistency with medium difficulty tricks won't win that battle. I wish there were a few trickers left that can explode in a battle setting and at least give Guthrie a run for his money, I don't think Andrew has it in him yet.
Many Trickeurs do not realize what they say. If you reward a fall, for what that serves to make clean movements. A clean movement is also the reception. I also remind you that a kick it is not the same thing as the tense leg, and that's why the martial arts are not a danse. pleases think one second, if we do not put obligatorily in our judgments, battles will become mess up, where everybody make movements not mastered with dancer's kicks and ice skating figure , falls of everywhere. You want that the tricking becomes stuntman's sport or the purpose it is to make nutcase's movements even if it means getting smashed up in every passage. Doing clean kicks is harder if you want to really hit and have martial art style.
i love kyle cordova but i mean... he's gonna die next round :P well done to both competitors. andrew was much cleaner but i thought bailey did harder moves. good match up!!
I think this was an awesome battle by all means. I just feel like at the time Bailey's kicks were kind of his downfall in this battle.. granted he was battling Andrew Franklin who has very amazing kicks. If Bailey stuck to his natural instinct and use more of his tumbling and swingthru's I think he would've definitely won this battle... but that mainly just my opinion on the battle. XD
problem is the judges would prefer kicks rather than tumbling so Baileys cheerleder skills wouldnt save him in a high level tricking battle :/ he should have executed his wrap-full snatchcannon instead, THAT would have made the judges think twice.
He did absolutely, both did. Judging whos best in tricking is rather absurd though, because trickers have different and unique styles, its not a competition sport. The only person you compete against is yourself; to become better than you used to and master new tricks.
People don't understand that it's not all about the difficulty of the trick because if I do a triple cork and fall a very clean jackknife will beat that
boring vs difficult , i know u gonna hate me for this but if i see another tornado-hook-jackknife i have to vomit . kicks make 50 % of tricking , but now we have 75% kicks and only 25% powermoves .thats NOT what it should be ( look at vellu and mike guthrie , thats balance in all ways )
i really feel like bailey had a lot more complicated combos, but those two tiny mess ups cost him this battle.
Bailey struggles when he battles trickers with martial art backgrounds because it motivates him to kick which is his weakness.
Bruh

Bailey did some mad shit but i agree that Andrew took it, if Bailey nailed all his combo's he'd have probably took the win.
where are the flow shows
Wow Andrew's awesome! Super clean!
The judges... messed up this competition...
Andrew's speed and dynamics amazed me the most, it looked very powerful.
Bailey's long turn was also amazing :)
epic combos!!
Andrew dominated. He's never failed to impress every single round. So consistent and clean!
Is this Ness Lee at 3:39?!?
Andrew Franklin was so clean! He looked like a champion.
Does anyone know what is that trick called at 2:07? It's right after scoot and is followed by aerial.
To me it looks like a very strange "raiz".
I see Vellu doing those quite often in his combos. It might be a raiz but it looks so weird that I can't be sure. :/
Andrew played on Bailey's weakness very well here. His strategy got him into the finals.
Guys we know who won and we should agree with judges, look bailey was same around I mean INSANE twists ! but Andrew shown us what martial arts tricking is.

Bailey went absolutely ham but he got a little cocky and those slip-ups cost him the battle. I couldn't believe that he started with that dub back.
Bailey should have one
I met Andy Le 3 days ago he is pretty cool
***** true movement at SD United
I accualy screamed thousand times for Bailey´s combo stains. Even though he bailed, he made it really cool, i had to go back to look if it really was a bail. Great battle anyway.

Why Franklin???

2:07 look soo sick !!
Tricking: Martial Arts + Gymnastics
Bailey: Martial what?
Tricking is scissors, tumbling is paper. Surprised Bailey didn't throw boxcutter though...best kick he has in my opinion

obviously.
Bailey got that double back tho!
k?
i thought andrew franklin took this one aswell but i didnt think it was unanimous.

It's like tony hawks pro skater, if you mess up at the end of a combo than none of the points count
ANDREW FRANKLIN! I LOVE YOU!!
I LOVE TO MUCH BAILEY
yea i disgree he made a couple mistakes but only because his moves were way harder. i think the judges made the wrong call but its not up to me
i love kyle cordova but i mean... he's gonna die next round :P well done to both competitors. andrew was much cleaner but i thought bailey did harder moves. good match up!!

Jørgen now that I've rewatched I agree. I still think he did good.
He did absolutely, both did. Judging whos best in tricking is rather absurd though, because trickers have different and unique styles, its not a competition sport. The only person you compete against is yourself; to become better than you used to and master new tricks.
Bailey !!!!!
Andrew did easy stuff compared to bailey. But i guess bailey shouldve stuck to easy stuff too. Gg
If anyone even questioned that one than they obviously don't know anything about tricking
im mildly outraged
People don't understand that it's not all about the difficulty of the trick because if I do a triple cork and fall a very clean jackknife will beat that
I can not believe Andrew won.
BaLiEy pAyNe
YOuTuBEr
Bailey is the winner!! Not like it this
Bailey handily took the first 3 rounds.
Andrew won fair and square but I would rather see bailey battle Guthrie no offense
why andrew franklin is alway in trickstar
guthrie, where are you?
bailey had amazing combos, but i think if he didnt mess up, he would hace won
the winner is jack payne
Bailey payne woulda won but feel twice or three times... Close still
boring vs difficult , i know u gonna hate me for this but if i see another tornado-hook-jackknife i have to vomit . kicks make 50 % of tricking , but now we have 75% kicks and only 25% powermoves .thats NOT what it should be ( look at vellu and mike guthrie , thats balance in all ways )
yeah but tricking has since evolved from just kicks lol That's what makes tricking even more unique
i really think bailey should have taken it
pretty cool
Kommunity? Really?
He looks like he has a lazy eye
