I am very happy to have seen this gig and to be able to relive it thanks to this great video. It appears that the recording from this gig was used (after having been mixed by Hugh Banton) for the fantastic VdGG live album Merlin Atmos which has just been released.
Thx Matt for your comment! I didn't yet buy the MA live album but I think it'll be for sure a great trio live picture. Really love the VDDG trio live rendition :-)
@@Jesse11P Nevermind the "falling out"... For the fans, DJ was a a big part and still missing here and for those 3 fabulous albums (Pawn hearts, Still life, Godbluff). PH, HB, GE should put water in their wine, put aside their ego and bring back this fabulous musician!
No need for a big ego to come in. Peter is a far more accomplished lyricist than Waters (I like Floyd a lot by the way) more expansive and daring whereas Waters is very good but tends to keep things simple and concise. I never could see Waters writing APOLHK or Sleepwalkers, never mind A Louse or Meurglys lll.
The most important/impactful music that ever completely changed me(and we ARE talking 'FUNDAMENTALLY'!)
REALLY!,
Ted Furlo
i always love the drummer....what a great job!he is giant!thank you Guy Evans***************
I know this backwards, even the drum fills….just beautiful, big part of my youth

GREAT PERFORMANCE! GREAT AUDIENCE! Nice and respectful
I saw this tour a couple of times in the UK, but the Bilston gig was the best gig I've ever seen in my entire life.
Incredibly good, I'm breathless! I've been listening to this since I was 11!
VDGG and PH were always advanced to their time.
Pawn Hearts always sounded like it was released in 1978 rather than 1971, totally ahead of its time
Fantastic! I have always loved this album and I can't believe that I can see and hear this performance. Thank you!
Great video, just like being there myself! Thanks!
You're welcome Klaas, glad you enjoyed it :)
I listened to the entire Trezzo concert, last night. Great gig, very good recording.
Magnifique version ! Merci.
MAGNIFICA....grandissima band e un incredibile, infinito, immenso, STRAORDINARIO Peter Hammill!!!
Dark and sinister, juist the way i love it❤️
What a row.
Man, this is pure gold! Didn't know they had played this song live after so much time. Maybe the best VDGG composition. Thanks so much for sharing!
Number one album in Italy 1971
Just brilliant musical trip!Bravo!
Vision and audio quality is very good
BEST LIVE VERSION EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously? The audios not even that good and davids not there, the 1972 version is WAY better.
@@SharingSoundz the version did in 1972 was the result of different takes....not a "live" version
quanti brividi, io ero a Pistoia, quando hanno aperto a Steven Wilson, quanta energia ancora, quanta passione, e tanta vera musica...
Pazzesco! 20 anni prima avrebbe aperto Wilson per i VDGG!
Great performance even without Dave Jackson. Can't believe no-one has put In Babelsberg on you tube. Best VDGG track since their 2005 comeback.
Unbelievable.dream come true.best band ever.
Again... DJ still missing!!! The sax was a big part of this masterpiece... Bring him back!
He was uncomfortable, thus making everyone else uncomfortable. Sure, I'd like him to be in there to, but it's clear it couldn't go on.
Simply brilliant !!!!

Paola Buzzini ovunque
Why no Dave Jackson?
A request: bring back David Jackson for a full pleasure!
I think they had a "falling out." I read it somewhere.
Whatever the reason, the music has suffered since Jackson left. The trio just doesn’t do it for me

why did you need to make two comments about this
Not just anyone can listen to this! Takes a certain kind of mindset and disposition!
PH is soo far out...hes too far in!
ROGER WATERS SHOULD HAVE JOINED THESE GUYS AFTER QUITTING FLOYD
😄😄😄
No way. 2 songwriting powerhouses like Roger and Peter can't be in the same band
Roger Waters lacks the talent of these guys. Also, VDGG was inactive between 1978-2005.
