    Thank you for your video.
    Thank you for bringing this information to me.
    Manufacturer should build a truck that will carry a Cummins and tow whatever you want.
    I don't see anyone else talking about this.
    Thanks again

    The thesis that the rear axle lock would be sufficient with drive only on the rear axle is quite controversial ;-) I think that turning on the rear axle lock with a trailer of ~ 14k pounds connected could end badly for this truck. Sometimes it's better to get out of the cab, wave the shovel for a moment and put something under the wheel.
    Either way, it's quite an interesting proposition more from a work perspective (compared to the Power Wagon), but if you're looking at a work truck from a performance/price perspective, the Tradesman versions are good enough, much cheaper, can have a 4.10 and any bed length combination and almost any choice of cabin type.
    The price difference between the cheaper versions and the Rebel is - in my opinion - too big, but the truck is nice and functional :-)

    I currently have a Power Wagon, but I find I don't need the disconnecting sway bar or front locker, so I had high hopes for the HD Rebel, but the disappointing payload and the superior 7.3L gas engine tips my scales to the Tremor for my next truck. Which is too bad because I really like my Ram.

    I watch videos on the 2024 power wagon and it's only good for 10,000 pounds
    2024 rebel with the diesel engine can tow 16,000 pounds. I don't care what the paper says I've seen both and the 2024 Rebel tows more

    I do really like these new HD Rebels but man do they get really expensive real quick even with the Hemi. And I just don't get how the Power Wagon with the winch and front locker starts 2k less than the Rebel!!

    • @JB_WhoWork
      @JB_WhoWork  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup and it has front/rear lockers, front disconnecting sway bar, lifted, and it’s a halo truck 👀

  • @noneya61

    All gas engine trucks have a higher payload because they have anywhere from 600 to 1,000 lb less weight then the diesel version. No I didn't say anything about towing I just said payload.

    Why don't people understand that an offroad suspension CAN NOT HANDLE MASSIVE WEIGHTS!!!! Common sense is such an uncommon thing anymore.

  • @matthewanderson9912

    This truck is kind of odd really. It’s basically an appearance package which is what the AT4 and Midnight GMs are but it’s a limited appearance package.

    • @JB_WhoWork
      @JB_WhoWork  ปีที่แล้ว

      RAM missed the dunk on bringing this nameplate to the HD lineup. They should have at least gave it red interior like the 1/2 ton Rebel to set it apart 👍🏾

    • @matthewanderson9912
      @matthewanderson9912 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JB_WhoWork yeah really. The 1500 is a good package and popular truck. I’m sure this 2500 will sell well but aside from the tires there’s not really any reason to get it over a normal off road package Cummins.

      Look at the RAM configurator for 2023. Clearly, marketers have worked. If you want to get into some decent dirt, two blocks is only PW. If you want a cruiser with MegaCab in a good configuration - Longhorn and Limited and only diesel. And this is plus 10k money. If you need to transport without frills, then you can twist Laramie. But none of them have a rear lock. The Rebel is the only one that gives good diesel towing and rear lockout. Sadness.

  • @yuzeyang8847
    @yuzeyang8847 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ram should use mega cab short bed for Rebel, plus the 4.10 gears. The current rebel is pointless and too close to Power Wagon. I am a power wagon owner and I wouldn't even consider this rebel at all. But if it's a mega cab with diesel, rear locker(something I really want) I would consider trade in mine and get the new"rebel".

      Power wagon doesn't have the payload or towing that the Rebel with the Hemi has. If you want a good off-road and towing truck this fits the bill. Rock crawling and a lot of off-road, power wagon is best.

    • @JB_WhoWork

      Yea it doesn’t have the tow numbers and the diesel seems like a waste with no payload as usual

  • @Chris_L034

    the diesel engine weighs more than the gas engine. the more it weighs the less towing capacity it'll have.

    The biggest mistake Ram did with this truck and the Power Wagon was not offering them with 35” tires. Ridiculous

  • @patriot5526
    @patriot5526 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You shouldn’t do reviews about trucks you know nothing about. First, no diesel truck manufacturers are putting 4:10 rear diffs in their trucks. Second, this truck, like the Tremor is attempting to give the customer an off road capable truck that can also tow. This truck is not lifted for that reason. Third, the Rebel with the 6.4 Hemi and ZF8 transmission is only a little less capable than the Tremor with the 6.8 or the 7.3. There isn’t a huge difference at all, even with Fords 10 speed. Also, since the gas version is set up for a winch, you don’t need a special bumper to mount it like the Tremor needs, it just mounts behind the bumper like the Power Wagon. Both the 3/4 ton Tremor and the 3/4 ton Rebel are fantastic trucks. They are very good at what they are designed for. You can’t go wrong with either one. You need to stay in your lane bro.

    7:14 the "anti slip" diff aka true track torsen type diff is way better then a electric locler. Just learn to use it properly with brake peddle modulation
