i would have thought there should be less sugar added because orange juice is already sweet, instead of 1:1 - looks like it turned out ok though! yum
You could definitely cut back, if you'd prefer to! I usually make 'rich' syrups, myself, which is a 2:1 sugar to water. So this works well for me. Less volume and more sweetness.
