  • just a quick walk through on how to replace the Transits rear shock absorbers, it's super simple I honestly didn't even know if it was worth the time but I figured since I did the front video might as well do the rear video

Keep the puns coming! And as a personal Transit owner that doesn’t want to pay shop fees when avoidable, your videos are gold. Thanks and keep them coming!

You're right, the video is almost not needed it's so simple. But I appreciate seeing it so I know I won't run into any unforeseen problems :--)

No question that the upper bolts can be difficult to remove - mine showed just light corrosion, but would not budge. Solution was to place an oversize socket over the head of the bolt (so it has room into which to retract), then use a really large C-clamp to press out the bolt. A 2-person job: one holds the C-clamp in place, the other turns the screw.
Re-assemble with anti-seize on the bolts.

in the rust belt the upper shock bolts seize in the bushing sleeve if that happens i like to heat up the bushing sleeve a little then smack it through

I have a 2019 Transit 350 (40k miles). A rattle noise is coming from the rear when traveling over any kind of bumps. What could be the issue?

could you list the part number for the 3.2l extended high roof rear shock? I believe it is different from the base low roof

i'm looking to upgrade FRONT braking system, rotors and pads on my 2018 transit 350, i would like to try something else other than Motorcraft mainly because they rust like there is no tomorrow, maybe something like "Raybestos, AcDelco, Wagner", if you or anyone reading this message has had to install/upgrade rotors and pads (other than Motorcraft) on a transit i would much appreciate you sharing your experience, for my line of work (hauling) i need semi metallic pads, ceramics are out of the question

Check out EBS Brakes, they make kits for the Transits.

How often do you change them? As needed, or a certain number of miles?

I replace them every 60k or when the paramedics start requesting chiropractic insurance whichever comes first

I was really about to pay a shop $130 to do this for me. I think I'm dumb.
