Great video, keep it up! That G2 kit looks pretty good, I may try it. I used the Russell stainless line kit on my G-body front brakes with S-10 spindles and the lines worked out great as well.
@@hutchhiperf Great! Looking forward to seeing that. I don't have the Ford 9" on my Grand National, but it does have the 8-1/2" that I am doing an inline tube rear disc conversion on.
You channel has to be one of the modt informative out there on G body builds! I'm doing a very similar brake upgrade with a 1980 El Camino. I'm using C6 base model front brakes and an explorer 8.8 with factory disks in the rear. Did you upgrade to the 98-05 blazer master cylinder just because it was disk/disk, or is there something else better about it like a better piston size? I plan on replacing rhe master cylinder and brake booster. Would swapping to the full 98-05 blazer combo be any better than the blazer master cylinder and G body booster?
Hmm, not sure. Honestly I'm just going by what others have done. I won't find out for sure until it's on the road. Go over to GBodyForum.com and join and post the question there. Lots of very helpful, very smart guys in that group.
My dilemma....I got the Corvette brakes on my cutlass and guess what I need rims and tires until I'm finished with the entire car, do you know of a donor vehicle I could use the rims and tires
Everything is listed out in the vid. The part numbers are visible for everything but the calipers. Fronts are AC Delco C5 Corvettes and the rear calipers I cover in this video th-cam.com/video/b7sIxMmuEnQ/w-d-xo.html
Man thank u this is exactly what I want to do to my 84 monte Carlo ss.

Those are good looking stickers on your calipers. Where did you get them? They fit perfect.
I designed them myself here: doityourselflettering.com/
@@hutchhiperf Did you get them with a radius and just apply or flat and apply them separately?
@@kennethtenbarge With the radius. You can get it from slight to complete circle I believe. Check out the site and get designing!
I want to do this on my monte carlo so bad just don't know were to begin

Did you have to change the proportioning valve
Yes. See here th-cam.com/video/Xxw39vKtNps/w-d-xo.html
