I had this album 5-ish years ago and was listening to it all the time. Somehow all that got lost and now I had too google some lyrics I had stuck in my mind to find them again.
Yeah, I bought this album back when it came out, and was blown away by the fact that these guys didn't blow up. I guess it makes sense since everybody was bobbing their heads on The Rapture's collective dick. The whole album is great. Their influences come through but the music never sounds derivative. Like, "Primitive" for example, sounds like the perfect marriage between The Velvet Underground and The Pet Shop Boys. Who would've thunk?
