Thank you so much Luna! I've been looking for this kind of tutorial that shows the use of DI Tea Dye and Walnut Stain. I couldn't find the Vintage Paper one around me so I have to look for other alternatives! Thank you so much for being thorough with it!
Just found you by way of The Graphics Fairy. While watching one of your videos, I was thinking Where does she find all those old letters and papers? Well, you had me fooled. Thanks for sharing your secrets!
Thanks for sharing your secrets to distressing. I've been playing with paper for over 20 years and it's always interesting to see what other crafters do. I especially like the library card technique.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who uses a Stanley knife or the side of my scissors. And I own a distressing tool. Find you get more control with blade. Love how you distressed the printed letter. Thanks for sharing.
thanks for sharing your great ideas...I have seen others use washy tape, tissue paper cut into thin strips & surgical tape tea dyed & used for old tape too
Thank you for showing the process in such detail, the pieces really look authentic. I have been subscribed since I came across your wonderful book of pockets. So much to learn.
Hello Sheena! I am a, fairly, new subbie and just want to say I love your channel! I love what you create! That pocket journal was one of my faves! Thanks!
WOW Wow wow!!! Fab techniques sweetie. I always thought the letters in your envelope collections were the originals. You must have done alot of trial & error to get the right looks. Just amazing. I hope you do more tutorials going forward. TFS toodles
Thank you for sharing 💕😍 i use clear package tape for old photo printouts, give them a light sanding on top and and edges, som ink to age them.. and they look like Real old pictures.
Loved watching this video!! Such fun techniques!! I've been searching Amazon & everywhere I can think of for that butter paper & I can't find any 😭 lol. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I already bought your vintage letters and can’t wait to try it out with this technique! Also do you think you would every do a TN junk journal digital kit? That would be amazing 🤗
I would love to get that paper pad here in the states. I can't find the 38 gsm here and have had horrible outcomes with shopee.com. I will keep looking.
Thank you for sharing you techniques. You are generous to show us how you make your journals and collections so beautiful. It takes a stout heart to do what you do: the ripping, rolling, staining, taping. It's hard for me to NOT have everything square and perfect. I'm going to call it "coloring within the lines syndrome." Thanks for showing us that doing something "dangerous" with a craft knife is not a bad thing. It's beautiful!
Great ideas in this. Thanks so much for sharing. I noticed the cello tape had a slight brown/yellowed color to it already while still on the roll. Is that an actual old roll of cello tape or did you do something to it that made it yellow? I just thought it was a really cool looking roll and I can’t tell you how many I’ve tossed because they turned the yellow color. Now I’m kicking myself for tossing them. Ha!
Haha! I know right! That was actually a brand new roll. I have no idea why it's yellow, must be the adhesive they use but it actually is transparent when used.
Love the level of craftsmanship and detail you put into this.
Love how you distress. I am going to try this. I ordered some butter paper also!

I think the butter paper is like tracing paper. This is a really good tutorial for distressing paper. Thank you.

Gorgeous Library card. I think I’m loving making ephemera more than the journals at this point. 🤷🏻♀️📝✍🏼

Hi Roxanna, you could try parchment paper. I think they're both the same, just different names? Hope this helps!
interesting...thank you. what kind of tool do you use to distress edges of paper?
Hi Carolyne, I just used a standard pen knife ☺️
