I was attached to a Sqn of Abrams in mid 80s in Germany on Op Reforger as an umpire and being a Tankie from 4th Royal Tank Regiment using Chieftain at the time, getting to play with one of these was like being a kid in your favourite toy shop. American Tankers were brilliant lads looked after us in the mess tent and couldnt have been more helpful. Fear Naught 🏴

Well, at least I learned how to close the hatch and seal it in one of these things, lol. Also the pedals for break and E-brake. I feel like the future X variant or whatnot would use LED screens for a wider view along with thermals with the original being a backup incase the optics get shot up.
For my education - how many person are there in M1Abrams tank crew -3 or 4? who is the one who rotate the turret? I heard that this tank can fire when it is running and still hit the target.
4, 3 in the turret, one in the hull. The Abrams can certainly shoot on the move, and it's deadly accurate as well. Each subsequent model has upgraded weapon and targeting software. There is some new vulnerability in the extra complexity, but the advantages in having a superior weapon system outweigh them.

I was got to drive one at Camp Pendleton in 1999 right before I retired from the Marines. I didn't go fast at all just drove it down the street at combat town and I asked the Marine with me about the brake, and he said you don't need it. Just let go of the throttle.

I was stationed at Aberdeen proving grounds in the 80's when they were testing the Abrams. I thought it was the most bad ass thing I had ever seen.
I can still remember smell inside the turret. Hydraulic fluid and whatever else. The engines exhaust were pretty handy in the winter too.

Needs a belt fed, radar guided, 12 gauge mini gun, for drone protection. As well as offensive drones of it's own to combat hidden infantry.

エイブラムスには車体底面に脱出ハッチはついてないですね。最近の戦車だと地雷対策とかでオミットする事例も多いです。
まぁそもそも下面脱出ハッチってめちゃくちゃ狭くて咄嗟に脱出できるものではないので・・・

Great tank, but one drone destroyed for a moment. Drone just costs 5000$ - 15.000$ but abrams have a cosmic price.
