I’m growing some sugar cane by seed that I ordered on eBay. It’s been several days. I’m growing them inside under LED lights. Great video! My cashew trees sprouted.
I grew some from seed a few years ago. I have about 4 # of seed from them. Going to plant some again. I don't remember the names but a dark heavy molasse, and a light stock.
Every now and then I drive 20 hours to Queensland, Australia, and pull over and fill my car up with sugar cane and smuggle it back to my state now they don't have 'fruit fly checkpoints' anymore. I'll literally flag down any old farmer and ask to buy some cane from them, nine times out of ten they tell me to take whatever I want, they're lovely up there. I've been growing cane for ages now, but once every now and then the weather is just not humid and hot enough for it to survive - right now I'm down to one last cane, I think it's time for another drive. (Edit: The cane you have at 6:46 looks like the variety we get here in Australia!)
I don’t have any to sell. I bought mine online. Just search for sugarcane seeds. They are inexpensive to buy. But as my video points out it’s actually sorghum. Sugarcane must be grown from another sugarcane stalk. Thanks
6:45 we have that sugar cane or something that looks like it in Trinidad. I visited there for 2 weeks and came back a couple days ago and they had these big thick sugar canes growing but I couldn’t take any back to the states cuz it’s illegal and what not smh Edit: be careful tho because they have these lil hair like things that if you touch them they will stick in your fingers and stay there till you rub them out with sum. You can put tape on them and pull it off too tho
Sorghum is mainly used for it's grains. We make flour out of it, the steam is pretty sweat but its a hit and miss, i would say 40% will taste just as sweat as a sugar cane and 60 will vary from sweat to sour to mixed but still delicious

Same happened to me that I got “Cox Orange Sugar Cane” seeds from Reimer’s seeds, and turns out it is Sorghum. Big disappointment.
Oh no, I just planted the same seeds today...
6:00 No problem. Yo can just start from the pups you get from them.
I also had the same problem with ebay seeds. 😅😅😅
