Really hoping they aren't over hyping TopGun. The mini documentary looked pretty great in the way it was produced. The story line better not suck though. I really miss C-Rock and Wingnut Wicks yearly videos

This was definitely an epic way of spending 16 minutes. Glad to see the Navy is kicking ass keeping us safe, and also finding time to have a little fun doing it. Bravest person award goes to the person in the minion suit, who's not worried all that extra costume isn't going to get them sucked into an intake. Great vid'!

After seeing top gun Maverick this gives you an entirely new appreciation for the F-18 no matter what variant is flying. My heart was in my throat during most of the movie. And watching this was like reliving that all over again. When an FA -18 Squadron is in the bar, May no one put their phone on the bar, or else the drink is on the house.!!

I’ve seen a number of naval aviation videos lately, mostly carrier-based operation. But I have never seen one with a production value of this video. It is by far the finest I think I’ve ever seen, hats off to the gentleman to put this together.
As a former Hat Trick Battle E Gunslinger 89-92 this makes me tear up.. Still the best freaking squadron in the US Navy.

Gunslinger Tradition (VA-105/CV-59 - USS Forrestal) VFA-105/CVN-69 USS Eisenhower - This brings back so many memories from the transition from A-7E to F/A-18.
LOL I was in VA-37 on the Forrestal and in VFA-105 on the Kennedy and IKE work ups.

Confession: The Gunslingers were an A-7 squadron on the Forrestal for the 89-90 Med cruise. As a classic F-14A driver in VF-31, I was never much of a fan of the F/A -18. But I must say, this is an awesome video. Well done and thanks for your service. I'm jealous.

Best part about fighters other than full reheat is their ability to pull moisture from the air.. Nothing beats a good vapor cone around a speeding jet..

Sheer awesomeness! I'll never understand how they can fit a naval aviator and the pair of balls it must take to do carrier ops into that tiny cockpit (with apologies to female naval aviators). Especially night landings! Holy crap....

I was in 105 from 91-95. We started with all new lot 13's. Fast forward 25 years. We kicked out a couple of 105 jets here in SLM San Antonio. 166650 and 166651? i think it was 651. But either way it was my way of giving a life extended E model back to my boys. PS the Kennedy sucked. IKE FTW.
