Now, when I go into thrift stores I pick pieces up and look at the bottom. Not that I know what I’m looking for but I act like I do. Love your channel. Just told a friend about you this morning.
Kristi Williams.... I turn things over and pretend I know what I’m looking for too! In reality, I can only recognise about three marks in total. Glad someone else is a big, thrifting/antiquing faker just like me!
You know what? I love what you do, you know that's exactly what I would love to do one day as a job profession hobby or else. Thank god for experiencing something like this in my life watching what I really love to experience
I just want to thank you for shopping and including all to join. I love looking at all the goods. You have such a calm , cool, joyful , peaceful nature, it brings me to a nice place, and I love the set up and the creaking floors in this shop!!!! Have a wonderful day!!! 🌞
Hi. The little lacquered box is made by a famous Russian art factory -Palekh . The older they are the more valuable they are. You may want to learn more on Russian laquered boxes site. $6 is not expensive for these boxes... Good luck in your new endeavor!
It would take me hours to go through that place. I have to stop and look at everything. I compulsively turn things over to look at the bottom even if I have no interest in the item, haha
It is packed. I drove the 2 hours to go to the flea market out there and to this store. It is fantastic but I did not get a chance to really pick much. I had limited time and someone not a thrifter with me. At least I got a video out of it. I want to go back when I have more than one hour to go through it.
Every time when you walk by those framed shell pictures, I am yelling at you to stop and admire them for a minute or two. I know you can’t hear me, lol, but I love shells!
Once your store is open you won't have to worry so much about shipping stacks of plates or lamps. I am looking forward to when you can teach us about lamps and plates.
I thought it was so funny when you said “I wasn’t allowed to watch Smurfs as a child. You know, the whole my dads a pastor thing.” That was my childhood too. Lol.
I have one of those Donkeys as well. Mine has the gold flecks inside. Bought it for $10 from an antique yard sale and thought I got a bargain! Unfortunately after examining it I realized the butt was chipped and looked like the tail was glued back on, so I haven’t listed it. He has made a nice little home on my desk at work.
I have a “Bovano of Cheshire” shell wall hanging. The copper backing also bends easily which causes cracking in the enamel. 😥😥 Such beautiful pieces, and quite high resell values...
I LOVE THE SQUEAKY FLOOR!! Too bad you can’t sell that. There was a small antique/thrift store in town when I was growing up, sold penny candy as well. The combination of smells was wonderful, I can see the 2 floor boards now that were slightly off and came to a peak....thank you, you made me smile this morning
I love the corduroy quilt!! The colors are such a great combo. The back looks like either a polyester satin or silk charmeuse. If it's silk that would explain the holes. Dang nibbly bugs.
That lil green dresser before you pick up the black and white diamond pattern oval box or bowl. Not sure what is was butl, that lil green dresser. Too cute!!! Thanks for sharing alot of good things.
I hate creaky floors also but....there is something worse...being in the basement and hearing my moms 4 prong cane slamming down on the floor above with her every step. I felt like I was in a horror movie every time.
Your corduroy quilt is a “Log Cabin”. The minor loose threads are an easy fix even for a non sewer. Replacing the flannel backed satin backing is not difficult because it contains little to no quilting but will be a bit time consuming.
12:37- I swear one of these days you are gonna open a cabinet and a critter is gonna jump out! I always flinch when you go hunting in one. Loved the dragon - sooo cool!
Bovano in Cheshire, CT made a ton of that enameled copper giftware. Dolly Dingle and her buddies were all over paper goods etc back in the 1920s. The creepy doorstop has too much paint left to be anything but repop or totally repainted. ( I don't know a ton about door stops, but I know that much.)
I'm from Waterbury CT, about 15 miles from BOVANO'S I dont know about the piece you found but a lot of their stuff goes for good money. Lots of flowers, birds, butterflies!
You know I bet you don't realize it but you could do gel nail manicures yourself. You just need gel base coat, gel top coat, gel nail polish and a nail drying lamp. The cost ends up paying for itself in a few months if you normally go to nail salons. I'm not artistic at all and I do it. There are a bunch of nail tutorials online like simplynailogical... You're so thrifty I'm surprised you don't already do your own nails tbh 😉
I bought two of these Sooner Glass swans, one green tinted, and a smaller yellow tinted. The lady said there was a third larger red tinted one she was sure she hadn't sold and was mine as soon as she could remember where it was...🙂
Is the quilt with the red dots a quilt or a chenille bedspread? Dolly Dimple was big in the 30s and 40s. You can find paper dolls, real dolls and porcelain tea sets for kids with her image. That hobbyist piece you found is close to what she looks like.
I have a suggestion i imagine you know but you need to check that bottom Afghan to see if its the same a the one in the old Roseanne show. It is worth pretty good money
Hello Jocelyn! I completely understand your uncertainty with plates and the hazard of shipping, but I’m personally looking for blue and white and I believe other’s are as well as the French Country is coming back. Especially SPODE / SPODE BLUE ROOM. Just thought I’d share... every time I see blue and white in your videos I cringed.... lol 😂
Slowpoke Rodriguez from Speedy Gonzalez?! Too bad he wasn't there. Your videos are great. I want to do re-selling someday. Your videos are helpful in figuring out how it works. They're fun too.
No no not crazy banana box lady what about crazy nail polish lady LOL Sharon from Valley forge Pennsylvania my day off and I'm watching your show again.
You are the crazy lamp lady. I know it must be hard for you to walk away from such a beautiful lamp like that. I love Pekingese dogs! I have 4 real ones and hundreds of glass ones. Some I got from you. It is so hard for me to walk away from one I spot while shopping. Gigi
Madison Taylor .. He is tired...works all year round making toys for good little girls and boys, but he is tired now. Plus the elves have been up to no good lately and he is running out of patience. 😉
I love the creaky floors. It adds to the antique shopping experience.
Oh my gosh I love the creaky floors!
Is it just me? When I see something in her videos I'm crazy about, I find myself yelling at the screen "GO BACK! GET THAT!!"
Yup me too. Although she did say she was being very selective.
I know, it's good we can't control her like a video game. I would have her bouncing all over the place
You know what? I love what you do, you know that's exactly what I would love to do one day as a job profession hobby or else. Thank god for experiencing something like this in my life watching what I really love to experience
I do it all the time. Lol
That quilt reminds me of Joseph and his coat of many colors.😍
I just want to thank you for shopping and including all to join. I love looking at all the goods. You have such a calm , cool, joyful , peaceful nature, it brings me to a nice place, and I love the set up and the creaking floors in this shop!!!! Have a wonderful day!!! 🌞
Love the corduroy bedspread. Good haul . X
I love the corduroy quilt. So vibrant.
Me too
Wow there are so many great things there! Would love to spend all day!
Santa is angry because he's been checking his list, and EVERYONE is naughty.
Liddy Bird 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Loved all the treasures you purchased today, especially the German Shepard figurine,... awesome find
I love you channel. I am not able to go shopping anymore and you take me shopping all the time!!Thank you!
I love the dragon. That is a good price. 👍🐺
I sold that same exact Don Featherstone Turkey Blowmold for almost $100 awhile back. 😁😁
Meghan Jones Hours? I could be in a place like that for days. Heck if someone put food out for me I could just live there for awhile.😁
Cary Ulmer haha, so true! I underestimated. I wish we had places like this in my small town.
I would have to plan a vacation around thrifting there. 24 hours to drive, one week to shop! It would be well worth it.
I am so excited!!!!
Thanks hugging the camera is like a big bear hug for your fans your awesome 😎 🇺🇸
I thought it was so funny when you said “I wasn’t allowed to watch Smurfs as a child. You know, the whole my dads a pastor thing.” That was my childhood too. Lol.
I watched the Smurfs. What was dads reasoning? Just curious.
That quilt is gorgeous!
That place is amazing! so many treasures..
I love the dragon and the shepherd!
The quilt pattern is called log cabin.
Thanks for the gargantuan effort. Great couple of watches.
That donkey and swan are the bomb dot com. Hope they do really well for you
Still like that quilt in front of display where you got the quilt you bought😍.
I have a “Bovano of Cheshire” shell wall hanging. The copper backing also bends easily which causes cracking in the enamel. 😥😥 Such beautiful pieces, and quite high resell values...
Thanks for sharing and caring! Stay Safe!
I LOVE THE SQUEAKY FLOOR!! Too bad you can’t sell that. There was a small antique/thrift store in town when I was growing up, sold penny candy as well. Makes sense about the red thread, I learned something today!! I usually do learn something😍😍
Red car paint fades faster too.
That cordoury quilt was amazing.
16:38, AAAAHHHH! Blue swirl enameled pail! I love that stuff!
Too cute!!! Thanks for sharing alot of good things.
..."I didn't do anything...walking away now..." LMBO!!!
Yes that Quilt is Gorgeous totally worth $27.00. I sew & quilt and yes it would be “VERY EASY TO REPAIR THE SEAM TEARING”. GREAT PRICE!!
Can’t you hear me yelling ‘buy that lamp.’
That yellow lamp is awesome...my hubby would have brought that home
Loved the plaid wool blanket !
great video!!!! cant wait to see when you start shopping for vintage xmas!!!
Is this what you hope your thrift store to look like? Oh the creeking of the floor gave me the willies. LOL
The creaky floors are because they have the boards runny diagonally and they probably put new over old, so yeah, it's creepy sounding.
Thanks for choosing the dog
I loved the cordery quilt ! Amazing!
Aaahhh!!!!! Next to the Haeger vase was the dragon teapot...still hoping you will pick that up....cause it's an 11 hour drive for me!!!😣
I had to look at it. I hope Jocelyn gets it for you. Or maybe you can call the shop and email them this video? They could ship it to you.
turkey blow mold goes for 100.00 plus!!! Grab it!!!
That fan sound is relaxing!
12:37- I swear one of these days you are gonna open a cabinet and a critter is gonna jump out! I always flinch when you go hunting in one. Loved the dragon - sooo cool!
if you quit buying lamps, you will have to change your name i guess ?? crazy banana box lady ?? LOL
Well she is still crazy about lamps... so it still fits :)
I love that quilt!
at 17:58 wish you had picked up those cute nativity trinket boxes...be great for xmas coming up !!..i collect assorted nativities
Bummer. I wanted to see more of that Murano fruit bowl as I’ve never seen one before. Fun shopping with you as usual.
1:37 I'm not 100% sure, but the stunning yellow lamp might be Champlevé ( "shahm pluh VAY")
Ro Sey , cool! Enlighten us, please😊😊👍🏻
I loved that lamp and I am not a person who admires many lamps.
OMG right behind the still life was a collie painting ! Oh I want it !
Yep I talk to my tablet when I see something I think you should go back for as well hahaha
I'm from Waterbury CT, about 15 miles from BOVANO'S I dont know about the piece you found but a lot of their stuff goes for good money. Lots of flowers, birds, butterflies!
Wow! That place is huge!
Bovano is a good name. To buy these so named pieces are expensive in the retail stores
Glad you got the GSD. But should have grabbed the collie near that lamp too.
what a shame the music box was broken, it was "quite lovely"
Right after the turkey blow-mold, in a cabinet, there was a bright blue Blenko vase. I have one like it. You should check it out!
The Brennan’s artwork is from New Orleans. It’s one of the local restaurants and is amazing
I don’t like it when you are refraining from buying while shopping. I need my excited to buy fix!! Lol. Love your videos

My hubby can translate the Cyrillic for you, he learnt when we went to Bulgaria for a holiday several times!
You missed the wood acorn box. That would be great for fall!
That's why the celluloid musical dresser box was only 14 dollars.
the swan at 0:25 , i have one just like it ,but mine is green tinted
I bought two of these Sooner Glass swans, one green tinted, and a smaller yellow tinted. The lady said there was a third larger red tinted one she was sure she hadn't sold and was mine as soon as she could remember where it was...🙂
These swans are suddenly coming out of the woodwork it seems. I will post one soon as well.
The mask was pretty scary!!! I love the corduroy quilt!!!
REALLY need to get back to this store!
Is the quilt with the red dots a quilt or a chenille bedspread?
Dolly Dimple was big in the 30s and 40s. You can find paper dolls, real dolls and porcelain tea sets for kids with her image. That hobbyist piece you found is close to what she looks like.
Yay. Great way to start my week.
Or crazy bird lady. Sharon from Valley forge Pennsylvania still love your show
That place had some awesome things, but some of the booths looked more like people were using their "booths" for cheap storage.
Elvis is in the house singing in the background.
I love the Smurf cup!
I have a suggestion i imagine you know but you need to check that bottom Afghan to see if its the same a the one in the old Roseanne show. It is worth pretty good money
now I want a Judging Santa TShirt for Christmas lol.
You need a basket for shopping my dear :)
Hello Jocelyn! What is the loud noises coming from? This store has a squeaky floor. I still enjoy your videos!
a fan
I love the old squeaky floors, but could do without that loud annoying fan
It kind of sounded like a vacuum cleaner to me, but it just kept on going.
You are the crazy lamp lady. I know it must be hard for you to walk away from such a beautiful lamp like that. I love Pekingese dogs! I have 4 real ones and hundreds of glass ones. Some I got from you. It is so hard for me to walk away from one I spot while shopping. Gigi
Me and my fiance are on a vintage christmas group on fb and we always wonder why all the vintage Santas have unfriendly faces.😂
Madison Taylor .. He is tired...works all year round making toys for good little girls and boys, but he is tired now. Plus the elves have been up to no good lately and he is running out of patience. 😉
I'm always expecting a cat 2 come jumping out idk y 😹😹😹
That lamp would look good on your desk at the shop. lol, just saying
That flask in the cabinet on the bottom I would love to see closer!!!!
Look for the pepsi mighty mouse glass too. 🙂
Santa is angry because everybody is depending on him to make 2020 end on a good note...even Santa doesn’t have that much magic 🎅🏻
Second time you’ve overlooked the skier !😟 lacquer box is russian Palek.
My dad was a pastor too... and we also weren’t allowed to watch smurfs.
Portia Lipton great question. Idk
Someone said due to the witchcraft Cargamel did ?
No lamps?!? But, but you're the Crazy Lamp Lady 😄❤
Cool stuff. Loud noise
Get the dragon!!!
I would buy it!!!
Omg! I was chastised for buying a small plastic Smurf by my pastor. As a adult, ARE YOU KIDDING ME??
