I had to come back and listen to this full album again 🤍
Machine Dreams, 2009. Before this kinda stuff was on the radio, In the land of Akon and Lady gaga, I would boot up our windows XP laptop with ridiculously low bandwidth, get on myspace just to listen to this album. Little dragon is perfect for driving alone in spring sunshowers. There is something so charming about it, yet unconventional enough to not sound like a modern pop hit. In my opinion Machine Dreams is about a adult woman singing about the different aspects of a relationship. “Its a quiet storm, deceptively intense and even sensual.“ Its a surrealistic approach to jazz. Its light and keyboards and synths are warmed with Yukimi Nagano’s grounding voice
It still stands alone to this day, while giving a respectable nod to 80s electropop hits before it without cashing hard on nostalgia.
Listening to this album feels like biting into a fresh fruit in summertime
Little Dragon is so musically satisfying and intricate they dont even fall under a genre, they have their own genre......"that's my opinion"
Same I couldn't put them in a genre if I tried. Every song is just so uniquely different too imo. 🔥

It's harsh that many bands of the 00's were forgotten just because of the time flow. Spotify and TH-cam recomends us so much stuff we simply forget great things we shouldn't.
When albums were physical, from time to time we remembered them by seeing 'em in their material form. We touched 'em.
But since music is just links and likes and subscribes, the algorythm works great in showing me new stuff that's great; but it obsoletes the older ones.
I just remembered Machine Dreams. I loved it, I was so young! So many memories...
Truly thankful for having it uncovered many years later.

So freaking catchy and soulful, it borders on unsettling. Yet, it remains from start to finish, a soothing and soaring malady that gets better with each listen.
I love this record. They were more experimental in the early days. Her voice is beautiful as it soars across their soulful melodies. Man, what a great album.

This is the best one out of the bunch, but I really love the Best Of Album from 2014 - its just non-stop hits. They should re-release it with all the new songs.

I'll always remember playing Feather on my way home around midnight after work. It was dark and all I could see is headlights and ship lights. It was magical, I felt I was on MK rainbow road
This is the album I found first by luck years ago that got me on to the group. Looking glass was the first song I heard and was a hooked fan ever since. My "Retro 80s vibe" music ears locked me in
I had this album saved in one of my playlists - they deleted the video and I went crazy because I couldn't remember the name. I spent weeks trying to remember it. Now I found it again and I've never been so happy.
I usually don't listen to tekno pop, but this is alrite. I downloaded this! Feather is definitely a catchy earworm.

Swimming is so good, like its just so simple but it couldn't be better. I love it.
It is indeed a uniquely great form of exercise, however many people don't have access to a pool at all, much less all year. Additionally, sun screen is extremely uncomfortable, but unfortunately necessary to prevent the most hellish experience that is sunburn. We do not yet have the technology to make this wonderful workout enjoyable for all. A tragedy of our apparently still primitive time.

Depeche Mode is 1 of the Best 80's Bands Ever! I never got the chance to see them in the 80's or 90's but My Husband Surprised me last year to see them for my very First Time for my Birthday,It was a Memory I will not Ever Forget! They still Kick A$$ on Stage :) I am so Blessed to have been Born in the Most Popular Generations Ever:) 80's Will forever Live On!!!!!!!

This is easily one of my favorite albums of all time. Such great ambience and sounds with beautiful vocals from Yukimi. This is one of the albums I throw on when doing art. :)

I was just thinking about this album today. Found Little Dragon through Gorillaz and decided to give em a try. Listening to this album after some years is really fulfilling, I forgot how much I liked some of these songs!

I'm old school, grew up in the 70's so have a good ear for good music and I have to say these guys are frikin awesome,so much so that I have all albums on vinyl except Ritual Union which I just can't get on with,other than that ,love 'em!
