In the art and countertop world, I find that many use the terms interchangeably. www.differencebetween.net/science/chemistry-science/difference-between-epoxy-and-resin/

    Can I do this to my wood above my stove vent or will the materials slide off onto the counter/stove?

    • @RK3Designs
      @RK3Designs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be very difficult to do this on a vertical surface. If you could remove and pour it flat then reinstall, that would be an option.

    • @RK3Designs

      Yes if the epoxy was set up enough to hold the pattern. If it were still fluid, the pattern will just go flat again.

    Hi does stone coat have a resin that I can use with a variety of projects ie: resin trays, coasters, pyramids, moulds , wood and resin over canvas art work ? I need 1-1 in volume. Also it has to have high heat resistant for the trays and coasters? 😊

      I'm sorry. the way I worded that could have been more constructive. my comment on another's reply was also unnecessary, crass and unacceptable. I apologize. I took my frustration from what's happening in my life into the comment section of your video. and that was not fair and childish. Reality is....good for you for having the courage to not only make a video for all to see but it make it as a women in a male dominated field. that takes some balls...lol. You should be proud of your content and ignore people and comments like mine as they are reflection of the poster and not of the video. A shot of the finished project would be great addition to your video and educational for the viewers, in my opinion. The rest of the video was educational, straight to the point and easy to follow. So again, I was wrong. I am sorry and it was not a reflection of our video rather a reflection on my selfishly being rude because I am suffering. I have watched and continue go watch your videos because they really do provide valuable information. I hope your days and going well and you're staying safe healthy.

    So does anyone know, how come you don't have to reopoxy after you put alcohol on it? Seems like the alcohol/Color mix you spray on it would just be sitting on top of the opoxy. Or is it fine as long as you blend it in with opoxy?

    • @RK3Designs
      @RK3Designs  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The alcohol will evaporate. I do put a flood coat on all my pieces after the 1st coat is dry.
