- Episode 01 of my 2022 Summer Alpine Series. This is a very open and candid look into my process of projecting and repeating the famed Dave Graham boulder, The Ice Knife, V15. It took me 12 days of effort in the Spring of 2022 to take this one down.

I appreciate the fact that you kept the rager moments in there, people need to be more real about the emotions that they go through in climbing on youtube 🗿
If you grew up watching skate videos then his aggro moments are pretty mild 😂
@@kellenscott555 I definitely agree haha, just look at chris joslins “true” part. Even this level of rage is pretty out of the ordinary for climbing videos though 😂
I'm impressed with how vulnerable you're willing to be about the mental struggle of the process Drew. It would be easy to present a good face and mention only minor frustration, but I think it's important to remind folks that feeling intensely about a project happens.
While we all try to improve our mental game and performance, we have to keep in mind that it isn't easy for anyone, even climbers at the top of the game, like you.
Big props and can't wait to see the sit
8:09 Did I just hear the elusive allez venga combo? Man, they were a gamba away from the trifecta.
This is a REAL projecting film, not just a send vid like most pros put out there. Nice work!
3:42 Smelling Salts 2.0. Great Performance, Drew!
This is seriously excellent content. And as has already been said, thanks for keeping the process real with us. More like this, PLEASE!
Incredible work. Appreciate the look into the aggravations and mental battles of projecting. I often find that for me my head can be a bigger barrier in sending than the physical difficulties.
And then the send go looked so chill
Such a rad video, looking forward to more like this!
The goat for a reason
Love the process. The physical and mental toll is something we can all relate to at any project grade
intense process! those one stick on our head! great send
So cool to see the process on this! Can’t wait for more content!
Cool to see drew taking a shoey mid climb. Prost! 🍻😂
Insane man. Can't wait to see Megatron go down!
Amazing video. Congrats on the send and kudos on being such a warrior with the process.
Love the rage brushing!
That was sick!
Amazing send, and thanks for sharing the process. Mellow: take note - this seems pretty core.
Awesome footage! You absolutely floated on the send go! Loved this video! +1 subscriber
GOAT
amazing film
Thank you for sharing
just like that 🥴
Nice jiob Drew.
13:12 I love how drew is looking at all the people raging on the bloc he just freed himself from. Def feeling some type of way after that battle
Inspirational and psych
Getting to the top seemed like a ‘thank god that’s over’ rather than joy
Fuck yes Drew. Such an inspo 4 everyone
Dude, daniel woods is a beast
gneiss job!
Epc! Drew is one to watch for the next 9a FA. I said it here today. Aidan Roberts and Drew Ruana will put the next 9a's up.
crazy how easy the crux move looked like on your send go. Almost static
brilliant cant wait for this Drew! what would you say are the top 3 hardest boulders you have done regardless of grade given?
I obviously can’t speak for Drew, but as someone who’s shot with him a bunch the three hardest so far IMO have been Ice Knife Stand, Wheel of Wolvo and Everything Gneiss.
Salve, onde fica esse lugar de Boulder? Qual País?
From what you're saying about how low-percentage it was, how the hell is it V15...
V3 in my gym
Drew will climb V17.
He got one move short from sendind Megatron way before Shawn so yeah definitely
I want to be Drew Ariana when I grow up
Bro how do you keep going
Cute temper tantrums
dude I think you should breath more when you re on
Why does every modern boulderer scream the f word when they fall. I dont feel like I remember older boulders doing this. Yall are extrmemly talented but it makes your talent harder to appreciate
What's modern age wise because I've seen a lot of people raging on routes and boulders
it's far from every modern boulderer, but they're just very involved and kinda obsessed with it so it stands to reason that they'd express it, especially when trying that hard
anger is a healthy emotion when properly dealt with. no one should hold it inside.

No one cares if you appreciate it 😆
