Mr. Silverstein's advice about picking the right spouse is absolutely the number one thing to adhere to. Almost 40 years with the same lady. There is no substitute for a good wife and a good mother who puts her family first. Be grateful and thankful if you have this gift......
Research this man properly. Why did he take out a massive insurance on the WTC in 2001? Where was he? Who is he EXACTLY? I'm not going to be gaslit into getting advice from a man who has no principles. Anyone without a concience can become ' successful '. Real success to me are the people who keep their ethics & principles while facing tremendous adversity.
Actually, this is hearsay and vague. Evidence. Be specific. In addition, even a broken clock is right twice a day. He is right about much of what he said. Truth is truth by virtue of what it is, not whether you like it or where it comes from. It's still truth.
What he said about illness in the family being the most critical issue really hit home for me. It really is. I lost my aunt a few months ago. She had pancreatic cancer. We did everything we could to make her last days on this Earth as enjoyable as they could be. We even took her to a Cubs game and got a suite that we absolutely could not afford so we could fit her medical chair in a place where she could view the game. I miss her every day. Life hasn't been the same since.
Sorry for your loss. Just loss my brother to the same can cancer in August and he was only 34 😢. Health is the most important thing, but money can definitely help with this.
When I was a temp Executive Assistant I worked on the exec floor next to Mr. Silverstein's office. Nicest people I ever worked for. They even went out of their way to give me a tour of the new building and educate me on the history of the world trade center. I'll never forget that.
Isn't it interesting how billionaires often brainwash people into believing that chasing money isn't the path to happiness? The truth is, while money itself might not bring happiness, it does provide security and freedom. These billionaires are securing wealth for future generations, and one thing they all have in common is that they’re investors. It’s crucial for people to take their financial literacy seriously and consider smart investment like stocks, bond and real estate. It really can work for you and help you build the financial future you deserve.
Very true. For many years equities and some fixed-income assets have produced yields needed to provide solid income for financial needs, the importance of mitigating risks could be why investors are turning towards advisors for guidance. Not to talk of how excellent the stock market is doing currently
A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.
How can I participate in this? I sincerely aspire to establish a secure financlal future and i'm eager to participate. Who is the driving force behind your success?
I'm very cautious about giving specific recommendations as everyone's situation varies. Consider independent financial advisors like Judith Lynn Staufer I've worked with her for some years and highly recommend her. Check if she meets your criteria.
I just looked up her website on google and I would say she really has an impressive background in investing. I have sent her an email hope she gets back to me soon. Thanks
3 things that helped me and literally changed my life 1. I stopped telling myself I'll do it tomorrow 2. I read books on Borlest (for money) 3. I had faith and religion
The most important decision in your life, THE SPOUSE. The wrong one is a disaster, the right one is fantastic. I've heard many successful men say this, I'll take my time, I'm in no rush. Choose wisely folks.
It has nothing to do with time but everything to do with understanding one self and being ready to understand the other person and constantly communicating your feelings with respect to one another
I totally agree with marrying the right person.i ALMOST married a woman in 1992,best thing i did not marrying her, caught her with the scimbag& almost killed her.i know way too many people who had horrible marrigeses, horrible.worst thing is staying married to a horror, male or female.they WILL affect everything, jobs, health, kids, friends, everything.by the way,im 61 & i get good advice& caring for a female for 16 years.
I wish I could have retired in my 50's. I'm 65 now, I started investing late . After some research, I found a strategy that helped. I'm pleased to say I'm retiring with at least $2 million.
It’s worth noting that luck often plays the significant role in some cases, sometimes even more than the resources involved. Without it, its challenging
@@ClemonSteve luck plays a part, especially in the short term. I noticed that when results remain consistent, it indicates something more than just luck. research was the challenge until It led to Julie Ann Lerch, a fund manager. her strategy made sense, it contributed to growing 950k into this and counting
Why retire and be bored? Enjoy your life working in a business you love until you take your last breath. Money is never a worry. Your days are always interesting. And you don't waste money on retirement things that just blow your savings and make you worry about it running out.
There have been loyal employees who have given all to a job, then get canned some time down the road.I LOVE my weekends off from my civilian job and will not come in to work weekends either, ever. LOL.
@@tomtom8786 It's reasonable to assume that because he holds himself to this standard, he would expect the same from his employees. Why would he say "you" otherwise ? He would've said "If *I'm* not in on Sunday I *shouldn't* bother coming in on Monday".
This is the kind of stuff we’re meant to be talking about and listening too. Literally imagine how good the man felt after talking about this vs the usual stuff.
This was a beautiful interview! Bless Larry with his energy and positivity! BTW, I met you at Boston Logan when we stepped off the plane from Montreal in 2023! We spoke for a moment. I am so happy to see you continue the work you are passionate about. You are an inspiration and making the world a better place with these insightful interviews that we all can learn from. Wish you all the best!
When I retire, I will be hiking, trail running, working out, and volunteering. Not that hard to figure out what to do after you retire... unless you like to constantly work. But, do what you love!
I sincerely hope you can do that into very old age. Not everyone is blessed with that level of physical vitality regardless of habits. I hope to be very active too. However, I think an occupational purpose is important the older we get. Something we would do for free. Like he said, to make a dent with our unique gifts.
Out of all the things I have done and gone thru after 25yrs of marriage and 4 kids. The most stressful has been illness within the family. Mom got sick and died. Tore the whole family apart to the point that none of us talked to each other for 4yrs. Today some talk some don’t. Basically the family was never the same and all due to disagreements in care. Most failed to recognize she was dying and there was nothing anyone could do. As the youngest my father couldn’t deal with the responsibility and told me to make the decisions. I did and I asked all my siblings but none of them wanted to hear it. In the end my wife, kids and I stood by my mother alone, did the best we could until she passed. I lost my job afterwards for taking too much time off. Lost my family and I am crying typing this up. At least i have my wife and kids and that’s all that matters to me. Just like the old man in this video said at 3:00. Illness is the most stressful and I wouldn’t want to wish it on my worst enemy. Wishing health and prosperity to anyone that reads this.
One lesson I've learnt from billionaires is to always put your money to work, and diversifying your investments. I'm planning to invest about $200k of my savings in stocks this year, and I hope I make profits.
You are right. The best approach I feel is to diversify investments- by spreading investments across different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown.
That makes sense. I’ve been using a financial market expert for two years now and I own a six-figure diversified portfolio from investing in stocks. I want to diversify more this year, though.

I'm 58 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for…
If you need advice, consider speaking with a financial advisor. Don't get me wrong, you can do it on your own, but financial advisors have a lot more knowledge and expertise in this area.
You have a very valid point, I started investing on my own and for a long time, the market was really ripping me off. I decided to hire a CFA, even though I was skeptical at first, and I beat the market by more than 9%. I thought it was a fluke until it happened two years in a row, and so I’ve been sticking to investing via an analyst
My CFA ’ Melissa Terri Swayne’ , a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
Thank you for saving me hours of back and forth investigation into the markets. I simply copied and pasted her full name into my browser, and her website came up first in search results. She looks flawless.

Larry Goldstein said years ago that his wife had made an appointment with the dentist on the morning of 9/11, now he says it was a dermatologist. Oy vey, I stand corrected.
The problem we have is because Most people always taught that " you only need a good job to become rich " . These billionaires are operating on a whole other playbook that many don't even know exists.
It is remarkable how much long term advantage people like us have gotten by trying to be consistently not stupid, instead of trying to be very intelligent.
The wisest thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on government paycheck, especially with the current economic crisis around the world.
Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others. As an investor, you should've known that by now that nothing beats experience and that's final. Personally I had to reach out to a stock expert for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to $35k, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I'm buying again.
he was contractually obligated to take the insurance because that was part of him buying the building. he ended up losing $5.5 billion after the towers fell, mind you.
@Capri-x8m so, you have a chance to die every day in a car accident, and you haven't died yet, it is very suspicious. I think you are hiding something. See how stupid thi is? everyone in their 70 have to visit doctors regularly, also he is one of 2000 billionaire's in USA alone, do you think everyone know what happened and when?
Sure Larry. 98% of the chosen called in sick that day. And the five dancing izraeli Mossad agents were just tourists. Building 7? The moving company. We can go on and on!
I know he's lying about the dermatologist. I know if he thinks he can pull it off he would tell us he died that morning so he must come up with a different lie.
We live in a world where billionaires often give financial advice on wealth-building but rarely share all the steps they took to reach their goals. One common trait among them is their advanced vision, far beyond that of the average person. Secretly, they seek expert financial advice and, more importantly, find multiple investment sources to further grow their wealth.
Some say, “Never chase money” or “Money won’t make you happy,” yet billionaires relentlessly acquire companies, crush competition, and pursue more profitable investments. They take bigger risks, achieve greater success, and increase their productivity. Meanwhile, we admire them, claiming that success requires time and patience.
I understand your point, but it’s hard to get reliable financial advice online. I suggest seeking a professional financial advisor who can guide you through investing in areas like the stock market, gold, real estate, and more. These are long-term profitable investments, but you’ll still need expert guidance. With the right mentorship, your investment portfolio could see real improvement.
So true, you’re absolutely right. I’ve been involved in the stock market for a while and learned everything on my own. However, I suffered a major loss during the last crash, which made me realize that with proper guidance, I could have received advice to avoid that and saved some money. But I’ve learned from it now.
Yes, I do. The truth is, we all need proper guidance, especially from experts in their field. I use Desiree Ruth Hoffman, a specialist in wealth management. She’s excellent at navigating the complex financial landscape. She’s registered, and you can easily find her online by searching her name. She’s a former Wells Fargo advisor and highly skilled in her field.
The common belief that a stable job leads to financial success contrasts with the approach of billionaires, who focus on entrepreneurship, investing, and building passive income streams through long-term strategies and calculated risks methods not typically taught in traditional career paths. Most people are unaware of these alternative principles that can lead to greater wealth
His humility in his voice has enough vitality to penetrate my heart, I can feel his years and everything he said shows much weight. He earned my respect from watching this video alone.
This is the guy that knew about 9/11 before it happened. He was inside. He knows it was inside job. His stories about going to dermatologist are for 0 year old babies.
@@fluffykitties9020 It's lot more complicated then that. There is group of people in USA (and kind of world) that are responsible for causing total destruction in USA and world. Idea is to make people fearful so they don't become lazy. It sounds crazy, but it's true. Maybe that's not bad thing, not sure. When society gets to the point that has everything and it doesn't have to work too hard in life, they become lazy and bad people and they become too individualistic, essentially bad people. That's how countries are destroyed. So every 10 years or so, you create destruction and people become united again and get zest for life. 2001, 2009, 2020 ................ I met Larry 10 years ago at an NYU alumni event, we didn’t get to chat much then. I saw him again a few months ago, I told him I’ve been at one of his buildings for 10 years. The first thing he said was, “Is everything okay there?” I said, “Everything is perfect that’s why I’ve been there for 10 years and never want to leave”. I’m in real estate and I believe that buildings reflect the owners (property managers, asset managers). At his advance age, I know Larry still comes by the building often and checks on it personally. It shows you the commitment he for his tenants. Truly a legend.
I think it's a secret of many people who get very old that they don't stop working and just keep going. You need a purpose in life or you probably won't live very long.
I think context is important. Some people need to stop working before 70 due to the type of work they do. If you're a teacher, fire fighter, police officer, construction worker, etc... most people need to retire and find something else to do with their time if they want to keep working. You are no longer going to be effective at work. This guy owns his own business. That's a different story entirely. If he was an executive at a company with a 40 year old CEO, then we would be hearing an entirely different story. I can guarantee that.

I am less interested in the millionaires and billionaires. They all essentially say the same things that we all pretty much know. "“Lucky Larry” who bought the buildings just a few months before 9/11, insured them for more than they were worth, regularly had breakfast in the building every single day but just happened to have a doctor’s appointment that day, and who sued the insurance company, claiming that the two buildings counted as two acts of terrorism so he should get paid double? And is on video saying that “We made the decision to pull it,” referring to building 7? Move along, nothing to see here. Look I don’t know if the guy was in on the whole thing as an insurance scam or not. But just like Oswald getting murdered by a guy with lifelong Mafia links, it’s perfectly rational and sensible to at least ask the obvious questions."
His whole family regularly had breakfast at top floor of trade centre but just so happened to all have appointments across town that day. Way too many coincidences with this guy. Also on the phone to Netanyahu every Sunday in the months leading up to 911. WTH were Mossad agents doing filming the event and hi-fiving??
People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyperinflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.
I do not disagree, there are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy or market condition, but such execution are usually carried out by investment experts or advisors with experience since the 08' crash
I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value. I would be happy if you could advise me based on how you went about yours, as I am ready to go the passive income path.!!
Not quite his age. Life advice. 1. the spouse is the most important decision. I married my best friend. She died. Now I have been dating my current best friend for twenty years. Always asking her advice. 2. Living within your means. No one cares what you drive or what home you live in if it is clean 3. Take the time to smell the roses while you have health. I have been to places in the world that few people ever go. 4. Health is number one. 5. Have goals. Be patient and work a bit every day on the goals.
93 years of life, that's a feat in itself! It's been said many times that at our deathbed, the most important things will not be how much 💰 I made but family. Have I loved them? Do they care about me? What will be my legacy ... etc
Wow! Larry did marry the right woman. She's beautiful; as well! She must have dreamt or felt something that morning. She told him to go to the dermatologist! No one can explain it. It just happens! I pay attention to my dreams and intuition. I wish the world was at peace too! To find love and wisdom is a blessing to be hold! Like Larry said, "You can't do life half way! Give it all you got!" Smart man and I loved this interview! Awesome!! ✨️⭐️✨️❤
I remember the story of Larry Silverstein when 9/11 happened. I had heard about him until today. This was a great interview. Very insightful with great tips. Thank you Sprouht! ❤
I agree with Larry 100%. I was married for 57 years. We thought it was a good start but she died in January and the whole world changed but not for the better.
Creating another source of income in these difficult times is the best thing to do not only does it guarantee returns, it also helps you plan and save for future expenses I hope everyone who reads this will be successful in life
Retired at 55 with $1.4M (60/40 split of stocks and bonds) liquid assets and about $300K in a paid off property/lot in Hawaii that I never built on. I'm now 57, have $1.5M liquid and am about to list the lot for $400k so I match this scenario pretty closely. Our budget since I retired was $9.2K/mo and we've spent only $8k on avg even with 6 months of global travel, a year living in Hawaii and golfing twice a week and some domestic travel. I too got similar (poor) results from my retirement planner but there was no way I would've kept working in a high stress job working 65hrs/wk average because of hypothetical scenarios and probabilities as we're highly adaptable... who in their right mind wouldn't cut back in discretionary expenses during a major recession? Besides, as long as you don't sell or do something dumb in a down market, historically they bounce back in 6 months on avg, maybe a year worst case so you just need to have about 1-2 yrs worth of cash (in a High yield MM) to live off of. At my age, worst case is I get a part-time job at Walmart or get a remote gig where I can work in my PJ's for a year to fund my discretionary spends and hobbies. My highly probable backup plan is to get travel health insurance for $500/mo for both me and my wife where we have to live abroad for 6 months and in the US for 6 months for a year or two. Already got quotes and can save $0.5 - 1k/mo in health insurance and travel abroad half the year. There are too many options to list but my advice is to retire as early as you can and be flexible. Is about financial literacy and great a financial advis0r
Congrats, and spot on! I too am planning for around 55-56 retirement. The value of adding extra years early in retirement when you are most vibrant and active can't be overstated. The key is going in to retirement with a good financial planner, a good grasp of your real expense needs, and ideally having no debt over your head. And of course being able to adapt spending in cases of down markets etc. Glad you are living your best retirement life. Looking forward to joining your club!
We retired at 56 with $1.7M. All thanks to our CFA. We just reduced our spending habits a little and enjoy life!! WOW! What a difference. I didn't realize how long flowers bloom. I had to apologize to Monday for cursing it all my life.
It would be really wise to look for financial consultants such as Becky Lou Gordon who can help you with insurance, investing, making sure your retirement is well funded, discussing tax advantages, and figuring out how to have a volatility buffer for investment risk. There is a rough patch ahead of us, and getting through it will need careful personal money management.
just inputted Becky Lou Gordon on the internet, spotted her consulting page ranked top and was able to schedule a call session. I've seen commentaries about advisors but not one looks this phenomenal.

Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.
Can you help with the reliable source I would really appreciate it. Many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. Very hard to get a reliable source here in Australia. Really need!
Yes, steve_porassss I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. Mr. Silverstein's advice about picking the right spouse is absolutely the number one thing to adhere to. Almost 40 years with the same lady. There is no substitute for a good wife and a good mother who puts her family first. Be grateful and thankful if you have this gift......
And for women , picking the wrong one is often fatal.

Fun Fact: Larry had breakfast at the top floor on Windows of the World restaurant EVERY morning... except the morning of September 11th.
Well there was the insurance money and that all the gold got moved before they got hit
Not only that. His daughter and son both worked at the WTC and both of them were absent on 9/11.

She’s lucky to have had you in her life. God bless you!
Sorry for your loss. Just loss my brother to the same can cancer in August and he was only 34 😢. Health is the most important thing, but money can definitely help with this.
Sorry to hear that, your loss reminds me of losing my favorite Auntie. Yet I have some great memories of our conversations.

Very true.

I want to change this now especially as I want to start planning for retirement early but I don't still know how to go about it safely.
dannywalters Your fears are in order... without fully grasping what you were doing you can actually lose all. The safest ways to go about it is either by first understanding the market or using an expert who does... I now make close to ten grand a month from mine and this is just my second year, but it took me several months of losing money to learn this.... Goodluck...

Fantastic video My five-year relationship ended a month ago. The decision to part ways with the love of my life is something that truly consumes me. Though it's all in vain, I've tried everything to get him back, and I can't fathom my life with anyone else. Even though I've made every effort to quit thinking about him, I can't help but miss him and can't stop thinking about him. Why I am stating this here is beyond me.
It's hard to say goodbye to someone you love; I experienced this when my 12-year relationship ended. However, I couldn't just let him go; instead, I tried everything to win him back. Eventually, I turned to a spiritual counsellor for assistance, and he was able to help me win him back.
Interesting! How did you locate a spiritual counsellor, and how can I get in touch with him most effectively?
His name is Father Obah Eze, and he is a great spiritual counselor who can bring back your ex.

Generally, People are facing issues with their Portfolios esp tough retirement. and it's even harder for workers to save due to low-paying jobs, inflation, and high rents. Now, middle-class Americans find it tough to own a home too, leaving them without a place to retire in.

He "pulled it", the ultimate jackpot, I mean.

A purpose that brings you joy*
@@mv1991 That's it, because otherwise you wouldn't want to do it after retirement..

Why were there expert minded people claiming it was a strike from inside the building? What can Larry tell us about this when he conveniently decided to take the day off.

This is quite educational. It's crucial for newcomers to keep in mind that the financial markets are highly irrational in the short run. You should constantly be ready for the unexpected. That is how chance operates. Because of the inherent risks in the market, I always favor long-term investments.
These uncertainties will always be there. Thing is, every once in a while, the market does something so stupid it takes your breath away. If you’re not ready for it, you shouldn’t be in the market. or get you a skilled practitioner.
Such market uncertainties are the reason I don’t base my market judgements and decisions on rumors' and hear-says, it got the best of me in the year 2020 and had me holding worthless positions in the market.

Buying Bitcoin or Gold are the absolute best hedges against hyperinflation.

I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

But I don't know why people remain poor due to ignorance

He's constantly talking about killing someone.
He's violent. Anyone reading this
Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.
Is he on instagram?
Yes he is steve_porassss
