Hey there! I'm riding a 29er and would say there's not much of a difference between these 2 sizes. In theory a bigger wheel should be better at rolling over uneven terrain but the difference is very small. Tomek has both 27.5 (fixed) and 29 (free wheel) and he tends to bring the smaller wheel for the most difficult terrain. He's the goat of Polish Muni so I don't question his choices :p
