The pentagram is also known as the “Seimei crest” in Japan, as it was used as a family crest by the yin-yang master “Abe Seimei” who served as a mediator a thousand years ago. LOVEBITES' songs are basically the same in quality between studio recordings and live performances, although Miyako, the guitarist on the right, often adds sounds on the keyboard, which is sometimes the backing track for live performances. She sometimes plays keyboard and guitar at the same time when two arms are enough.
Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about my favorite band: LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far the band has already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest. They also played their first US shows this year in September. In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Their newest release is „LOVEBITES EP II“ with 5 amazing new songs. The band members of LOVEBITES are (including their official nicknames) Asami on vocals (the one and only voice): She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch): She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd Midori on guitars (crazy shredder): Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete Haruna on drums (little big engine): Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers): Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger): We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3

You’re pretty accurate in the “old-school” feel of their music. They typically encompass most metal genre’s from roughly the 70s through the 90s and even some modern undertones. Iron Maiden is one band their often compared to (Asami the vocalist often times dubbed the female Bruce Dickinson). But they also blend into a more thrash metal (think Metallica/Slayer-esque sound). It is good to have you react to LOVEBITES. No, they are not Christian metal in the direct sense. They are, if you go by their texts, simply Human(e) metal, by which I mean delivering mostly positive and empowering lyrics ("Edge of the World"), dealing with their personal life trials ("When Destinies Align"), history ("Above the Black Sea"), as well as the condition and fate of man in general ("Swan Song", "Break the Wall", "Empty Daydream", etc). But the scope is wide, from dark songs like "Set the World on Fire", or the brutally beautiful "Hammer of Wrath" (dealing with witch trials), to anthems of light and unity like "We the United" (well, duh) or "We Are the Resurrection" (the opening track of their new album after a hiatus), to out and out fun rocking songs like "Scream for Me" or "Dancing with the Devil"... Mind you, they have 60+ songs ranging from "merely" great to masterpieces, these are just several examples. Maybe I will give you my personal favorites later, served with coffee. :) Musically, they lean on decades of Metal and Rock history, paying respect to their idols by subtle stylistic inserts, but pulling it all together in to a cohesive and modern sound, based on flawless (often multiple) skills of each band member, contagious energy and trademark twin guitar solos. If pressed, I would slate LOVEBITES as Neo-classical Power Speed metal, but their music also has strong currents going of Heavy metal a la IRON MAIDEN and Thrash a la METALLICA, even Blues in the vein of Gary Moore. Slower songs and parts are also there, but no spoilers! Suffice to say they will fit like a glove. The main thing you will find though, is the musical structure always varies between and within songs and the girls will get the listener by surprise again and again! They're not really religious. The majority Japanese practice pieces of Shinto, Buddhism, a few Christian trappings here and there, but it's mostly ritual. You know, better to respect the kami than not. There's a basic respect of the numenous---which I guess a pagan will be able to relate to--, but it's, for want of a better word, practical. The more you hear LOVEBITES, the more you just respect and love them - they are top tier musicians in any genre, anywhere in the world, but they just happen to be in “ours”. I find a full album enough if I’m listening at home, but a live concert works if I’m in the mood. It is intense and you’re right, it can melt your brain and just start to wash over you, which is actually not bad if you’re working, for example. Some tracks are just truly epic though, and cannot be ignored. lol Try “Judgement Day”. Not Christian metal, more fantasy quest and hero type stuff, with some love and betrayal thrown in for good measure.

Their musical mission is to bring back Old School Metal. The black haired guitarist *_Miyako_* is a classically trained pianist, and is the main composer, so that is why you clearly hear the classical influence. Been listening to this band since December, 2018. And have I ever been disappointed since then? No, never. These ladies have created a uninterrupte strings of flawless songs, one more scintillating than the other. They play Eclectic Metal. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM,

The pentagram is also known as the “Seimei crest” in Japan, as it was used as a family crest by the yin-yang master “Abe Seimei” who served as a mediator a thousand years ago.
LOVEBITES' songs are basically the same in quality between studio recordings and live performances, although Miyako, the guitarist on the right, often adds sounds on the keyboard, which is sometimes the backing track for live performances. She sometimes plays keyboard and guitar at the same time when two arms are enough.

Here some information about my favorite band:
LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far the band has already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray.
In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest.
They also played their first US shows this year in September.
In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Their newest release is „LOVEBITES EP II“ with 5 amazing new songs.

She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer

She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd
Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food
Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers):
Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3

You’re pretty accurate in the “old-school” feel of their music. They typically encompass most metal genre’s from roughly the 70s through the 90s and even some modern undertones. Iron Maiden is one band their often compared to (Asami the vocalist often times dubbed the female Bruce Dickinson). But they also blend into a more thrash metal (think Metallica/Slayer-esque sound). This heavy metal band continues to evolve.
They don't stick to one genre of metal music.
Sometimes it blends different metal music genres together, and sometimes it blends classical music.
They have a variety of genres of metal music that they think are good, and they have the skills to perform them live.

Not Christian band, more Zen-buddhism. The lyrics is more of a translation from Japanese and fitting to English. The pentagram, I sure you know is more then 5000 years old and the meaning wasn't what it is today and for Zen-buddhism the pentagram means: Love, Wisdom, Truth, Kindness, and Justice. By the way. They use high heals for a whole concert of 2 hours.......

It is good to have you react to LOVEBITES. No, they are not Christian metal in the direct sense. They are, if you go by their texts, simply Human(e) metal, by which I mean delivering mostly positive and empowering lyrics ("Edge of the World"), dealing with their personal life trials ("When Destinies Align"), history ("Above the Black Sea"), as well as the condition and fate of man in general ("Swan Song", "Break the Wall", "Empty Daydream", etc). But the scope is wide, from dark songs like "Set the World on Fire", or the brutally beautiful "Hammer of Wrath" (dealing with witch trials), to anthems of light and unity like "We the United" (well, duh) or "We Are the Resurrection" (the opening track of their new album after a hiatus), to out and out fun rocking songs like "Scream for Me" or "Dancing with the Devil"... Mind you, they have 60+ songs ranging from "merely" great to masterpieces, these are just several examples. Maybe I will give you my personal favorites later, served with coffee. :)
Musically, they lean on decades of Metal and Rock history, paying respect to their idols by subtle stylistic inserts, but pulling it all together in to a cohesive and modern sound, based on flawless (often multiple) skills of each band member, contagious energy and trademark twin guitar solos. If pressed, I would slate LOVEBITES as Neo-classical Power Speed metal, but their music also has strong currents going of Heavy metal a la IRON MAIDEN and Thrash a la METALLICA, even Blues in the vein of Gary Moore. Slower songs and parts are also there, but no spoilers! Suffice to say they will fit like a glove. The main thing you will find though, is the musical structure always varies between and within songs and the girls will get the listener by surprise again and again! A sign of a truly timeless, exciting band. \m/

HARUNA, drummer and founder of the group, an authentic drum-machine, called "little big engine"
MIDORI, guitarist (the blonde) and composer, called "crazy shredder"
MIYAKO, guitarist (the dark haired), pianist, main composer, the genius of the group, called "golden touch"
FAMI, bass player, the youngest and very talented, called "shining fingers"
Fami joined the band in 2022, after the former bassist MIHO (great bass player she also) left the band for personal reasons.

They're not really religious. The majority Japanese practice pieces of Shinto, Buddhism, a few Christian trappings here and there, but it's mostly ritual. You know, better to respect the kami than not. There's a basic respect of the numenous---which I guess a pagan will be able to relate to--, but it's, for want of a better word, practical.

The more you hear LOVEBITES, the more you just respect and love them - they are top tier musicians in any genre, anywhere in the world, but they just happen to be in “ours”. I find a full album enough if I’m listening at home, but a live concert works if I’m in the mood. It is intense and you’re right, it can melt your brain and just start to wash over you, which is actually not bad if you’re working, for example. Some tracks are just truly epic though, and cannot be ignored. lol Try “Judgement Day”.
Not Christian metal, more fantasy quest and hero type stuff, with some love and betrayal thrown in for good measure.

Their musical mission is to bring back Old School Metal. The black haired guitarist *_Miyako_* is a classically trained pianist, and is the main composer, so that is why you clearly hear the classical influence.
