31224 and 31134 on the Trawsfynydd branch

  • In this video from our Ranwell Video series, we visit North Wales, and see 31224 and 31134 on the Trawsfynydd branch, which is the southern most point of the Conwy Valley line, and once provided a through route to Dolgellau. This section of the line south of Ffestiniog is now mothballed. Filmed: 12/07/1994.

    Rare video.... I was there in the 1980s doing samples for the Chernobyl fallout. Great that you recorded this. Thanks.

      Not 100% sure, but it's a very unusual combination, and unique to see propelling for such a long way!
