I love Phoebe's house, but unfortunately it does make perfect sense that it's the lowest scoring. Torches, bonfires, etc. are extremely cheap to make bc they only require wood or branches, so her furniture is extremely cheap
Not only that, but also most of that furniture is also considered "Outdoorsy" by the game. Admittedly I'm not sure whether the distinction of "indoorsy vs. outdoorsy" furniture has any affect on how the HHA scores your home, but since NH is the first AC game where you can place all furniture outside as opposed to dedicated PWP's in NL, I expect the distinction must have at least _some_ bearing.
@@legoferrari14 Outdoors vs indoors makes a difference depending on your rooms theme..if your room looks pretty indoors but has outside stuff inside it won't score as high! Everything matching a central theme tends to score higher from what I've seen (take tangy for example..the entire thing is just fruit! fruit walls, fruit furniture, hanging fruit).

I was so surprised when I saw that Zucker doesn't live in the worst house. In new Leaf his house was a relaxed Sushibar but in NH he just got this weird grass patch with a stall and almost nothing else. What have they done to my little buddy .-.

If you have the DLC and finish 30 homes, you can tell Isabelle you don't like how their home looks and it'll change to the fruit-themed house shown off here
He talked about it in his earlier video where he tried to get the highest score possible! He ended up concluding that feng shui actually didn’t matter as much in the grand scheme, especially compared to items that score a lot of points (the highest ranking home was just entirely filled with trophies on every floor space. sad)

In addition, some of the furniture is moved around too, though what they are is unchanged; for instance, in the apple variant, the log dining table is in the southeast, whereas in the orange variant it is in the northwest. The question is, do they all score the same? I think the orange and cherry would be different since they are the only ones to have wall-mounted furniture.

I think all of them vary slightly, but I was pretty much ready to be done, so I didn't bother checking them beyond what I did.

I'm supremely disappointed that Phoebe's house is the very bottom! Her house is cool but it really is lacking more than I imagined. She and Jitters were my originals (Jitters is long gone) and despite really disliking her default house it's at least more complete than this. Eventually I'll work through the DLC and redesign her house entirely; I'm picturing the magma cave theme and Cool furniture in red.
In the DLC she wants a place to “fan the flames” so I stuck her out in the desert and gave her lots of FIRE! She was also my starter sisterly and man, I hate the starter homes they give the 5 OG villagers.
This is the reason why, when I finally subscribed to one of Dagnel's previous sponsors, I used his link instead of the dozens of the other TH-camrs that I follow and watch (who also have the same sponsor). The quality and dedication of his work is superb. I also find his number of subscribers and viewers to be criminally low for this type of quality video.
I'm just glad my boy Julian did so well, I'm so proud of him. Also, I used to be creeped out by Pietro and jokingly blame him for all the awful balloon themed furniture back in New Leaf. I've long since come around and now love the lil guy, but seeing his room for the first time made that old fear start to bubble up again. Something about it is giving....... Purgatory vibes.

yeah I feel like all the superhero team villagers (kid cat, Agent S, Big top, Rocket and Filly (idk if Filly is in acnh though)) should all have houses that connect together like feeling like parts of a superhero hangout place...idk how to explain it fully but um I hope I did ok on explaining it
The reason why peanut score the highest is not only the cute series which includes the wallpaper and flooring but has 90% color white in her room. The only non color I saw was the heart rug which is pink.

The amount of time you took in making this video is amazing. Great job! I wasn't also a huge fan of Frank's house design when I first saw it. I really love and appreciate Frank and all but I just never really saw him as a jocky type of villager if I were to be honest. I changed it very recently and it really did make a difference in the atmosphere of his home. Again, great job with the video!
I’m surprised that I had two of the best scoring homes on my old island (Julian and Rosie), also surprised Tangy did so well bc her house is ugly. I liked some of the “ugly” villager houses, they look like the quick low effort HHP builds I do when I’m trying to refresh villagers who have more interesting themes
It isn't ranked by looks btw! Even if a house looks bad it can score really high. Tangy did so well because her house fit a ton of qualifications to have a high ranked house.
The fact that Mira has so much DIY furniture saved her huh? I hate her new Horizons house with a passion. It’s emblematic of how the game scrubbed so much personality from the villagers. She had the full astro set in New Leaf because she’s like a space commander, and that house was changed into a dinosaur stage play??? It makes no sense. I hate it so much. Phoebe’s house at least as a logical theme, even if it is super barren.

Julian was my smug campsite villager and I love his house so I'm happy about his score, though, I am upset about Phoebe and Jitters as they are some of my villagers in New leaf, and plus, Biff is my bday twin 😢
I don't comment a lot on videos, but I do a lot of statistics analysis in my studies and this is honestly such an amazing breakdown of an awesome data set. Thank you for all your work putting the spreadsheet together!
This was very cool but I wish you’d included images of each respective villager as their homes were shown! I don’t recall a lot of them off the top of my head by name only and I have a feeling many others don’t either
As a statistics major I am absolutely obsessed with this!! I definitely might perform some statistical analysis on these house scores after graduation!

Wow just wow. You dedicate so much to your challenges and I appreciate it. I enjoy these so much. I always enjoy the crazy and wacky stuff you do and it makes me life a little more exciting as I get hyped for the challenges. You also have great story telling which makes these even better
i just thought of a video idea while working on a flower field: pay off all home loans using only money made from selling flowers (if possible) i'm not even sure if it's possible but i would love to see you have a go at it, if you want to experience more pain doing a challenge
Cranky's have the worst average scores, but who are the top three among them? Elvis takes bronze with 19119 points. Wolfgang comes in second with 22620 points. And the first place winner is Roscoe with 26029 points! Elvis has expensive golden and zodiac crafted items, but no bed or wardrobe/dresser. Wolfgang has 8 matching ironwood set pieces, including a bed, table, chair, and dresser. Roscoe has the living necessities of a bed, table, and chair. His lack of a wardrobe/dresser is made up for by having four rattan set items together, having all his furniture be black, and having some expensive music related items such as an electric guitar. My personal favorite of these three is Wolfgang's house. :)
I am SHOCKED at Tangy's victory mostly because as soon as I got the option to redecorate Villager homes she was my first target because her house has always felt like an assault on my eyeballs 😂 (sorry for killing your vibe by giving you a less busy wallpaper Tangy) I guess it goes to show, an objectively high score doesn't mean a subjectively nice looking house
I have learnt so much from binge watching your videos. Just want to thank you for all these amazing content. I have watched some of your HHA challenge videos on twitch and I think this 17 minutes video is an understatement of how huge this project is!
The literal trash house scoring better than anyone in that bottom 10 is so surprising, but the HHA are the ultimate judges ! Maybe the ultimate lesson is to have your own flavor and stick to it
What is so funny is that phoebe and stu have completely different houses on my island. Maybe because Phoebe was one of my first two villagers and Stu was part of the set of 3 villagers who moved in after i finished Nook’s Cranny
phoebe: i based my house on the fact that i look like a phoenix, using fire/lava floor and wallpaper along with other fire type items. HHA: ew tangy: froot :) HHA: WOW!! AMAZING! WONDEFUL! PEAK DESIGN!!
To be fair, the Cranky personality having the lowest average score kinda makes sense, considering they're probably too cranky to want to fix it. HHA: Your house would be more comfortable if you had a chair or a bed or something... Cranky Villager: *NO, PISS OFF!!*

it does get more than the Garden one, but less than the Plastic one for the HHA points.

Kid Cat is one of my favourites too so when I first saw his house I immediately changed it to a red version of Agent S’s house. Thank goodness for the DLC lol
yeah I feel like all the superhero team villagers (kid cat, Agent S, Big top, Rocket and Filly (idk if Filly is in acnh though)) should all have houses that connect together like feeling like parts of a superhero hangout place...idk how to explain it fully but um I hope I did ok on explaining it

The reason why peanut score the highest is not only the cute series which includes the wallpaper and flooring but has 90% color white in her room. The only non color I saw was the heart rug which is pink.

I wasn't also a huge fan of Frank's house design when I first saw it. I really love and appreciate Frank and all but I just never really saw him as a jocky type of villager if I were to be honest. I changed it very recently and it really did make a difference in the atmosphere of his home. Again, great job with the video!

I’m surprised that I had two of the best scoring homes on my old island (Julian and Rosie), also surprised Tangy did so well bc her house is ugly.
I liked some of the “ugly” villager houses, they look like the quick low effort HHP builds I do when I’m trying to refresh villagers who have more interesting themes
It isn't ranked by looks btw! Even if a house looks bad it can score really high. Tangy did so well because her house fit a ton of qualifications to have a high ranked house.

The fact that Mira has so much DIY furniture saved her huh? I hate her new Horizons house with a passion. It’s emblematic of how the game scrubbed so much personality from the villagers. She had the full astro set in New Leaf because she’s like a space commander, and that house was changed into a dinosaur stage play??? It makes no sense. I hate it so much. Phoebe’s house at least as a logical theme, even if it is super barren.
Yep, was fully expecting her to be bottom 10. There's a good bit of furniture in her house, not that it saves it from looking like junk

Julian was my smug campsite villager and I love his house so I'm happy about his score, though, I am upset about Phoebe and Jitters as they are some of my villagers in New leaf, and plus, Biff is my bday twin 😢
I don't comment a lot on videos, but I do a lot of statistics analysis in my studies and this is honestly such an amazing breakdown of an awesome data set. Thank you for all your work putting the spreadsheet together!
This was very cool but I wish you’d included images of each respective villager as their homes were shown! I don’t recall a lot of them off the top of my head by name only and I have a feeling many others don’t either
As a statistics major I am absolutely obsessed with this!! I definitely might perform some statistical analysis on these house scores after graduation!

Wolfgang comes in second with 22620 points.
And the first place winner is Roscoe with 26029 points!
Elvis has expensive golden and zodiac crafted items, but no bed or wardrobe/dresser.
Wolfgang has 8 matching ironwood set pieces, including a bed, table, chair, and dresser.
Roscoe has the living necessities of a bed, table, and chair. His lack of a wardrobe/dresser is made up for by having four rattan set items together, having all his furniture be black, and having some expensive music related items such as an electric guitar.
My personal favorite of these three is Wolfgang's house. :)

It is! Unfortunately, not many houses are noteworthy enough to be featured, so consolidating it down to 17 minutes seems right
The literal trash house scoring better than anyone in that bottom 10 is so surprising, but the HHA are the ultimate judges ! Maybe the ultimate lesson is to have your own flavor and stick to it
Unfortunately "trash" is a furniture set! That's why Billy and Jacob weren't at the bottom of this list

What is so funny is that phoebe and stu have completely different houses on my island. Maybe because Phoebe was one of my first two villagers and Stu was part of the set of 3 villagers who moved in after i finished Nook’s Cranny
phoebe: i based my house on the fact that i look like a phoenix, using fire/lava floor and wallpaper along with other fire type items.
